Someone recently posted about being an official Asha girl. Well, it's official, I am too!
Long story short, I had compared Asha to Amora for weeks (if not months, it seems like it now) and decided on Amora. I ordered two Amora stones throughout the past few weeks, and while beautiful, it just didn't seem right for me.
So I finally ordered some Asha stones. I got them yesterday.
I got a 6mm and 6.5mm Asha ACC. WOW. It is so amazing. If anyone is worried an Asha doesn't look like a "real" diamond - don't be! Every time I look at them, I am even fooled (and I know what they are)! LOL. They are so beautiful.
I still want to get a modern Asha cushion as well to compare and decide (and keep one of each hehe). But the ACC is beautiful. It is an I color and is perfect. I understand "steely" now. It has no yellow at all, not warmth even, just depth and looks real - definitely NOT see through white or glass-like AT ALL.
I do have an Amora cushion right now too, a 6mm. It is colored an I also. Side by side, I can really see the difference between the Amora and the Asha. To me, the Asha is more diamond-like. Not that I am a pro by any means. The Amora has warmth, buttery color... I hate to say it, but borders the yellow-ish color. Not in a bad way, just not for me. The Asha, while not being WHITE, has no actual color, it's just depth...? Hard to explain but I love it!
I am surprised and happy, and relieved to find something I love. Can't wait until the modern cushion is available so I can make a decision on my e-ring and get it done!
Thanks for everyone's help. Wish I could post pics but I don't have a camera (except a phone one and it's useless). Plus pics really don't show EXACTLY what you see in person, so my advice is to order both if you can't decide =)
Basically my ACC looks the same as in this thread (she took amazing pics!)
http://betterthandiamond.com/discussion/ubbthreads.php/topics/735667#Post735667and the Amora looks similar to the pics others have posted.
I will say, the thing that seems to bother me the most about the Amora is the large round circle (can't think of how else to describe it) in the center of the stone... this may be characteristic of natural diamonds too, I'm unsure. But it really stood out to me personally.
Ok that's all. I

Asha!
