Soooo... I'm currently baking my Asscher Eternity from Helzberg Diamonds. I solidified my decisions because when I was dressing up, my DH came up to me and said, "that ring looks glassy". Then I snapped! I was like, "that's it, it's going to the oven". Judging from the confused look in my DH's face, I'm guessing he hasn't heard that response before. LOL

^_^ So it's a cooking at 400 degree temp for 2 hours. I put my ring in a glassware, put it in the oven cold. I will let it cool in the oven too.

Here's the before photo. I managed to capture it's glassiness. :-/ hopefully I can change the color of this CZ to get it warmer.

Good luck! I am also currently cooking my new asshcer three stone ring! I have it in at 375 and will check it in an hour. I think asschers are just a hard cut to get realistic looking in general.

@MGR: I will post pics after

@Ginger: Yeah, I'm starting to realize that. :-( It's too bad because this has been my chosen stone since I was really young... like I had diary entries about it. Yes, I had my bling out phase during late high school and early college, but then I noticed that I settled back to my original love. *fingers crossed*

@Ginger: Thanks, although I might sometimes feel discouraged by the cut of Asschers, I am still in love with it. :-)

Alright so after a cooling down for an hour (I was so impatient), I realized that it's time for the truth.

The "After" pic:

Here you can see a little warmth, which I am so happy about.

Here is another photo where it can still be glassy, but significantly less so now.

VERDICT: I love the way it turned out. I think that the nature of the cut of the Asscher makes it easy for it to look "glassy", but I have minimized that CZ look through baking it for 2 hours at 400 degrees. I am satisfied with it, and can now rock it a lot more comfortably. After all, I did not shell out $100+ for something that I cannot wear. ^_^

@ Ginger: Yay!!! ^_^ Yeah I keep playing with it in different light and the change after the cooking is pretty good now. It has gotten some depth, although difficult to capture on camera.
