so i wore the Krupps / 5mm pale lavender trillions combo tonight, out to dinner and to get groceries...
and under superbright lights, an extremely interesting optical illusion kinda happens!
kinda like how in this picture, the Krupps looks visibly warmer than the lavender-y sidestones?
well, in superbright grocery store lights, my eyes see the lavender as being "white" or colourless, and it makes the Krupps have this delicious touch of warmth to it.
i know it's just my eyes, though, because the setting is sterling silver and if i turned my hand so that i could see more metal than stones, my eyes readjusted to the lavender/clear combo, instead of the clear / warm center combo i had been seeing only seconds before.
it was neat! and the brilliant-cut sparkle of the trillions is (IMO) a perfect counterpoint to the hall of mirrors-ness of the Krupps.
i'm still, far and away, an antique cuts person... but boy is the Krupps Asha gorgeous!
