Hi everyone! I am new here, and I have been reading through the forum for the past few days in order to see what different moissanite rings look like and to help me to pick out which ering I want. I really appreciate all of your knowledge, I feel like I have learned so much through my reading, and I am wondering if you could give me your opinions of the ring I want.

The link is: Moissanite Antique Engagement Ring

I am having a difficult time picturing it because I want it in rose gold and I think a 7x5mm radiant stone. I have a size 5 finger so I want the ring to be delicate (which is why I like the thin band), but I'm afraid that since it is so different than the picture that it might not look as good as I am picturing it.

I really want a radiant stone in rose gold. Do you guys think it will look good in this setting?

Thanks in advance for your help!!! smile

I like that setting!

Do you like the picture of it in yellow gold that's on the website? That's going to give you a more accurate picture of what it might look like than the white gold/palladium image.
I haven't seen any amora radiants set in rose gold yet, so I can't really commend as to how it might look. I do wonder if the rose gold might make the J-color look a bit warmer, sort of like how yellow gold can sometimes enhance the color of warmer stone? That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, just a personal preference thing.

A few things to ask MoCo:
- What will the prongs/head be made of? Sometimes rose gold rings are made with white gold prongs because they are more durable.
- Will it be returnable? Rose gold is a special order, which might mean that you can't return the ring at all if you don't like it or that you can only return it for store credit.

Thanks labelo! I do like the yellow gold image on the website; I just don't like how bright it is, but the rose gold would give it the more muted look that I like. I never knew white prongs are sometimes used due to durability, thank you, does that mean that a rose gold ring would not be as durable as a white gold? I have only ever had white gold before, but I really want something different. And I will also check on the ability to return/ exchange it. Maybe if I knew I could do that I would be more open to trying the ring.

BabyAngelBling- I think that's part of my problem, my gut it afraid it's a bad idea. I love the idea of it, but I am super type A and do not like that I don't have a solid idea of how it would look before my bf purchases it. And then, if I don't like it and find out I can return it, he might be hurt that I'm exchanging the ring he gave me. He is very sentimental. Hm. I just wish I could see it!

Well, i had a rose gold ring which was VERY duarable. I am sure that rose, white or yellow, the gold is as durable as each other. Rose gold just has a metal added to make it rose... If i am wrong - sorry but that's my feeling...

I would go with my gut on this one.

Are you sure that you suit rose gold? I had a gorgeous rose gold ring but it just didn't go with my skin tone. I LOVE white and rose gold together though, i think i could pull that one off!

I hope you decide, the decision is yours and yours alone... Good luck!

I was reading over the website's return policy, and since it is a "special order" they do not accept returns, which I think convinced me not to take the risk. I was looking at pictures on google of rose gold and emerald cut rings and liked some and didn't like others, so it's too much of a risk I think. But, I looked on etsy a bit, and found this ring:

http://www.etsy.com/listing/94959649/14k...h_type=handmade

I love that! I guess I love the oval stone too, and I am so relieved that I know exactly what it will look like. I just asked if I could get it with an amora moissanite instead of a white saphire, and hopefully she says yes!

Thanks again for your help!

Etsy ring is beautiful. I got my original e-ring from an Etsian too, it was such a wonderful process!

I might have to go that route for the 2nd one too, I haven't had much luck getting all my questions answered. I think I just have too many questions smile

Yeah, I like how easy it has been communicating with this seller and how much she is willing to work with me to customize the ring. I feel like I am being annoying with so many questions and requests, but I just want my ring to be perfect!

I hope you are able to find a second one that you love, Rusalka!

If you are going the custom route, than one-on-one with the goldsmith who is actually making your ring is the best way to go! Enjoy the process & get exactly what you want! Perfection is the only way wink

Hoping I will soon.. I miss having a rock on my finger smile

Just wanted to chime in and say this is a stuller style ring:

https://www.stuller.com/products/121627/2910177/?groupId=102043

We could get it in 14k rose gold and set with an Amora oval.
