Your new hair do is lovely, I'm in the process of growing my hair out down to tailbone, I don't part with a millimeter of it if I don't have to!

You are awesone to do that for locks of love! I love your new do as well. I had long hair all my life, until one day when I was in 9th I made my best friend's sister cut it all off. I got into so much trouble with my Mom! I have only had it really lone 1 time since then, but couldn't stand it. I usually keep it short-as short as Halle Barry short:)

I'm thrilled that you donated to Locks of Love! Hooray!

I echo what Kanga and Silky said -- your new cut rocks because it looks so healthy. Enjoy the freedom of it.

I'm the same way. I have fine, thin hair and can easily use those teeny elastics to put it up. I cut all of mine off 10 years ago and have been playing with it ever since. I'm working on growing it back now.

I love that you cut your hair for LoL! You have absolutely STUNNING hair. So thick and shiny and no splits that I can see!

What's your plan now-you going to grow it back again, or keep it short? It's a big change to have that much hair gone!

How close are you? My goal for 2012 is armpit length so I have a ways to go, but my ultimate goal is getting back to waist. I think that's terminal for me....it was never past that.

Yup! Me too. Back in 2009 I cut my almost waist-length hair into a long bob hoping to donate it to Locks of Love. Was told the same thing. My hair is colored so they would not take it....... cutting my hair so short was a huge regret, but it grows, and I'm so relieved to have it long again.

I donated 12 inches of hair to Locks of Love a few days before my anesthesia program interviews. grin

Definitely wasn't prepared for the length that my hair was cut to, but it looked pretty nice, and my interviews went well just the same. smile

Thanks!
Today will be first wash/style on my own, and I really didn't have to deal w/ that part too much with it all one length. So I'll have a lot better idea if I like it when I'm actually dealing with it day-to-day.
Not sure if I'll grow it out again or no - I'm in an "experimental" stage (aka midlife crisis? smile )

Congratulations smile and I admire anyone who does something to help others!
I cut my hair off about a year ago, it was about armpit length and it's now maybe an inch? lol I miss it in a way but get so many compliments on the cut.
My hair is also thin and doesn't grow much but I found that hair vitamins or prenatal vitamins make it grow like mad.
