Hi everyone, I am planing on getting engaged soon and am looking to get a setting for my 1.29 karat diamond.

My girlfriend's ideal ring would be the Tiffany setting with 4-prongs instead of 6. I have been trying to find a good imitation of the Tiffany ring for weeks but all the good ones have 6-prongs.

I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. I am looking at both platinum and white-gold (but would prefer platinum if the price is right).

Thanks!

(I saw some good 6-prong ones in this thread.. but couldn't find any 4-prongs: http://betterthandiamond.com/discussion/ubbthreads.php/topics/638833/Need_help_finding_the_closest_ )

anyone know of anything similar to that as well?

I'm not sure about the classic 4 prong tiffany, but I'm in love the with "Iva" setting from AD. It looks a lot like the classic Leon Mege solitaire setting. Very low set, solid and I love it!

I just received an 8mm RB in this setting and I love it. I'm already scheming to get an Asscher and ACC in this setting.

This may be what you're looking for:

You can use these photos and have poppyseed on forums help with them. There's also DK, WinkCZ and Amcor.

Hi StLouisKid,

RingExplorer.com is not ready yet for public use, but this is a perfect example of why we are making it...so you can find rings in seconds and not weeks wink

I used your question as a quick test of it's functionality at this point - here is how it went:

1 - Enter Search:

2 - Get 2 results (tooltips don't show in the screenshot, but basically two rings returned, one is 2mm thickness, the other is 2.5mm thick which is clarified when you mouse over):

3 - Click on details of the ring (in this case, the 2.5mm thick one)

4 - Check reviews (still in progress, titles are missing for example)

5 - Click on order info to get more info or purchase!

Here's the link to the actual ring above if you are interested:
http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/solitaire/18k-White-Gold-2-5mm-Knife-Edge-Solitaire.html

We're hoping to have the first public showing of RingExplorer.com in about two weeks.

Hope that helps!
