I just purchased this ring off DB. I received it just now in the mail.

I took a few preliminary photos with my crappy old old old camera phone.

I'm a size 5.5. The ring is a 6.25 and my band is a size 6. I was going to send the ring back to AD for sizing, but it actually fits perfectly. I've never worn my e-ring with my band because they just don't fit together. but I get now why you want to size up for "stacking."

I was nervous about the 8mm even though I'd already purchased every size of stone. But loose stones always look bigger to me after they are set.

The 8mm is perfect. A little on the larger size, but still very believable and not overwhelming. It looks right at home on my hand. I doubt anyone will notice much of a difference from this 2ct RB from my 1ct diamond princess cut.

I would prefer an old cut, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the simplicity of the Iva setting and it was a great deal on DB.

I plan to get the stone replaced with the Amora Gem OEC when it comes out and then have this one set into a sholdt semi-bezel style ring. OR if it will work a 7.5mm ACC.

The setting is Palladium and my channel set band is 14k WG. Should I be worried about the rubbing?

Ok, on to the couple crappy phone pics. More photos and videos will be posted tonight!

That set looks great on you!!

You should only be concerned of the rubbing if you are going to wear this every day and want it to last forver. If you are wearing it in a rotation, and don't mind having to reshank in 20 years or so, I wouldn't be too fussed with it.

Photos and video will have to wait until tomorrow. Last night I was at a birthday party and tonight I'll be watching Morrissey (on his birthday too).

So tomorrow legit photos and video.

After wearing it yesterday and today -- I am crazy about the Iva setting! I'm bonkers over it. I just love everything about it. I may have to get every single Asha stone in this setting.

Video 1

Video 2

While I just love the setting, I've been a little underwhelmed with the center stone. I knew that I wasn't a huge fan of the RB going in, but there is something to owning a timeless RB solitaire. And everyone else's photos of their RBs shows clear hearts and arrows. I love seeing that. This stone I don't see any hearts or arrows. Do you think this stone is just an older version?

But I'm positive that I will be switching out the stone to a 7mm Asha ACC when they come back in stock next month. Or I'll just get a whole new Iva with a 7 or 7.5mm ACC and then get an 8mm OEC for this setting.

Do you think the 8mm looks too big? At times I'm overwhelmed by it, but I'm just not used to wearing anything so big. At other times, it looks just right.

I will be wearing it until the ACCs come back in stock, so maybe I'll get used to the size.

Yet another video

and another

I've been trying to get a clear shot of hearts and arrows, but I just don't see any. Did I get a dud? Or is my crappy point and shoot canon powershot not able to capture that kind of thing anyway?

I don't know about the stone, but I love the setting and think the size is great for you. Looks great with your band too.
