You asked for beefier and DK gave you a big ol' steak! Because of what you said about loving something chunky and wanting the center stone to be believable to pass as a diamond, I think this fits the bill. But whether or not the proportions sing to you as a whole is going to be up to no one but you. As an objective outsider, my take is this: The inspiration video feels like a setting that compliments the center stone, where yours feels like a center stone that compliments the setting. Does that make sense? What's more, does it help at all? +1 The workmanship and quality is stellar, however! And you sure got your bling x2!

Craftmanship is good as usual, but the proportions are off IMO. The setting is overwhelming the stone. Less bulky and more fluid would be my preference. Size 8 or not shouldn't make a difference

Thank you all for your opinions. I feel better about the ring this morning. I understand what you're saying about the stone being smaller and looking different and even not center stage in this ring. And yes, that is what I asked for. I think I am going to be OK with that part of it. I think I'm down to just one thing, the sides of the ring being wider. The other ring looks thinner on the sides, but again I did ask for a big look. I will just have to see once I get the ring. That was another part of my confusion. I thought that once I OK the ring and have it sent I couldn't have alterations made or return it. I highly doubt I would be returning it, but I need to know the options. I do agree with you JuBe about a lot of the rings being delicate on here and what I see most of the time. I love many pieces on here but I also know that if I were to get one of the smaller more delicate pieces I would feel like I had man hands with it on. LOL I've tried to wear smaller pieces and I always find my way back to a chunky ring. Even my last ering felt like the chunkiest solitaire I could find lol. Anyway, I am going to go for it Thanks again!

I think your ring is a really good replica of your inspiration ring. I agree that the Centre stone is smaller compared to the princess Cut, but the setting almost looks identical. I also noticed the lower profile of your ring which I really like.
I think you'll be happy with the ring when you get it, but I think the change in stone shape is throwing you off.
plus 1 !!!!!!!!!!! I lost power all night 15 minutes BEFORE the result of American Idol!! ug...still dont know who won..lol

I bet once you get it on your finger, you'll feel different. I wear an 8 too and there is quite a difference in the way that ring would look between our size and hers. I can't wait for hand pics!

The width on the side seems off a bit, I wanted a big look on top but to still have the side on the delicate side (as delicate as this thing could be anyway lol) I am pretty sure he is shipping it tomorrow over night so I'll have it Saturday. Just in time to go to a party at my friend's house who does photography as a hobby (good pictures, holla!)

Sorry for the delay, just got back from the party. The ring came yesterday morning; I threw it on my hand and took off for the shore. Here are a few pictures. I want to have the sides changed, the band is too wide. I wanted it to be three sided - I can't think of the term off hand - but I know you know what I mean. Here is a video of what I mean, anyone jump in and tell me the term.LOL http://youtu.be/pwVqwDN99ccIs this something David can fix without making a whole new ring?
