Here it is, my dream ring!
I have started my wedding ring (or e-ring, but I can start to wear it once we get married) project 6 months ago. My first try was to use my old e-ring material and get a three stone ring with light pink sapphire and small diamond side stones (one of being my own from the old set) with a local jeweler. The project lasted long three months and ended up with nothing.
Although first I felt everything was ok, it really was a struggle all the way, he just didn't get that I want a custom ring , not something he will decide and that's it.
This would be long post if I would tell you everything, but I can tell you that it ended when he suddenly changed the setting completely, from tension set to very simple basket setting and when I found out this was when he send me pictures how the sapphire looks in the basket.. It was him who ended it, propably thought I'm too difficult customer since I wasn't happy with his decision but honestly I was already very close to end it myself. It wasn't fun to work with him at all and every time I asked something I felt like I should apologise first to request anything. I felt angry and frustrated since I spent three months for nothing. My friends just kept saying me that I was very wise to start so early, otherwise I wouldn't have the ring when we get married!
Well fortunately while we were waiting the sapphire to arrive, I found moissanites. I fell in love immediately and decided this is it, this is what I want! I talked with Beth from Schubachs and David Klass and I realised I actually can have the kind of ring I have dreamed but always thought it is too expensive to ever really have one. Amazing feeling I can tell you. Finally I ended up working with David.
The first e-mails were beginning of April and the ring is now ready, I have pictures and it is ready to ship. I will propably get it next week and then post more (better) pictures. First I thought I will not show any pictures before I have it to be sure I would like it, but I'm pretty sure there's nothing to worry about.. So here we go. May I present you my Deam Ring:

I'm sorry your experience with the other jeweler was less than satisfactory, but unfortunately that happens quite often when people finally decided to find the boards.
