I agree with you guys in that this ring that he's EVENTUALLY ;-) proposing with will always be so special to me... And non- replaceable in sentimental value. We have definately talked about upgrading to the Amora gem in a few years but I'm kind of bummed that they aren't making my exact size stone. Oh well- maybe they can squeeze in the next biggest!

Cannot WAIT to finally show pics though!!

Yes, I have one e-ring, but the rest of my sets/"e-rings" were actually anniversary rings/gifts. I get crazy and binge, but I don't actually get to have them until my anniversary or birthday. I'm getting a few rings made now. One will be an anniversary, birthday and x-mas gift. I work on the project because my husband would be clueless and wants me to be happy. And sometimes, I'll get the ring in Feb and by the time our anniversary hits in Sept, it really is a surprise because I've not thought about it or seen it for so long. But it's exactly what I wanted smile

I've talked to my hubby to be about this, and all he said was that he doesn't care if I have a thousand rings, all he cares about is that he's good enough for me to keep him as my one and only. I thought it was so cute he told me I could have dozens or hundreds of anything I wanted as long as I only had the one man, lol!

I cherish my original e-ring but I crave something bigger and just different once in a while. I constantly check out other peoples e-rings and find I love so many styles! I plan on getting a second e-set when the Gem comes out to wear more when I am more dressed up and going places. My original ring will still get worn alot as I am attached to it.
The new ring will be an anniversary gift and we will renew our vows and have our priest bless them. That will instantly add new sentimental value to them as well as my old set.
Everything else on the wish list from then on will be RHR's.

Lorrissey: outstanding idea!! I work on my next "project" and buy it and give to him. Months later I get it as a fab b day present and he can reimburse whatever!! Yaaay! He has an amazon wishlist that I need to start paying attention to, this way I have my own! It's a win win :-)

I have 3 sets, I don't see anything wrong with it! I change them with my mood. Or like today, when I wore all 3 for about an hour lol!

Thanks, Brookie1978. Unfortunately, I can't take full credit for that idea. I either read about someone doing that on these boards or on PS. I thought it was marvelous as I felt weird buying my own jewels before. But this way it feels like a gift and it's more meaningful. Even if it's not a "true" gift in the sense of the word or traditional gift-giving.

The idea definitely HAS crossed my mind! smile I guess Hadley is right, I've been here way to long! I'm like a hungry sparkle monster!

However, I did bring this up to my BF and he was NOT THRILLED at alllll with the idea of me having more than one. I didn't know it bothered him until like 3 hours after I'd said something I was like "you're acting funny hun, is something wrong?" and of course I had to drag it out of him because he's not the talker in the couple lol.

If I was able to do another set, I think I'd just get another 9mm OEC and set it in a rose gold LM inspired solitaire. I think once I have my pave encrusted dream e-ring, I'll crave the durability of a solitaire. But hey, I'm with you Brooke; just get me the first e-ring and the rest we'll talk about later! LOL wink

I'm waiting for my 2nd one now...DH doesn't care and like Lorrissey, if my husband had to go and pick it, he'd be clueless. We've been married for almost 6 years (anniversary in July), and the reason why I stopped wearing my original set is because I had a baby in fall (2011) and my fingers got a little bigger and didn't go back down. The change wasn't a HUGE difference, but significant enough for the ring to be uncomfortable depending on the weather, or if I get bloated or something. I could've resized the original set...but I decided to get the ring I've been drooling over the past five years smile
