After I received my engagement ring, I went to a jewelry store in town that carries a gigantic selection of stones and had the chance to compare my pear to a 1.25-1.5 carat diamond pear, and boy let me tell you, the only way to tell the difference was that mine was cut better! Same sparkle, same bow tie effect, same french cut tip, the one I looked at was F or G color, and both the Asha and diamond had that liquid silver type of look to them.
Now, I will say that if my Asha gets decently dirty, it looks glassy and it'll drive me up a wall. I clean it every day to every other day, just a super quick scrub down with some cleaner or dish soap, or let is soak while I'm in the shower so it never takes me more than a minute of my time.

Let me tell you, the day that the Amora Pear cut comes out, I'm taking the day off work and am going to be one of the first people to purchase one so I can re-make my original e-ring. I love everything about it except for how much the stone needs to be cleaned to look great. Plus, Amora has more sparkle than any other gemstone, so I'll get a sparkle boost to boot! I'm all about low maintenance, so when I get to do even less work I'm gonna be thrilled!

The cuts are amazing. When the amora is out all bets are off. I'm gittin' one a' them suckers. It may take a while, but it WILL happen!

lol we all three are too much alike I'm glad to hear that the only downfall you guys find with the Asha pear is just how often it needs to be cleaned. I have no problem cleaning it everyday. I cannot wait until (IF) the Amora pear gem comes out....! How perfect would that be!?! Do you guys think they will make it?
