Hi jcent, This is Mr. Hadley chiming in. Mrs. Hadley showed me the french cut ring tonight. You should get that one so she can live vicariously through you. Even I think that's quite a pretty ring. hey I like thissssssssssssss!! Now the husbands are helping enable us!! lol!! Mr. Hadley,..now its our turn.. Mrs Hadley is a wonderful person and NEEDS at least three new rings this year!! Notice that he's enabling jcent's budget, not my budget. Funny how that works, huh? For me, he's willing to give the gift of living vicariously through someone else. Hrmph. (If you keep your bottom lip stuck out like that, Hadley, a bird is going to come along and poop on it.)

hahahaha, Mr Hadley! Thank you for your enabling! I think the frenchies are winning the popularity vote. MY DH likes the french cuts too.

It is all just about what I am prepared to sacrifice to get them... DH is happy for me to have them, but it means NOTHING else for a while... And then I worry, is a tourmaline a good choice for such a pricey setting?? They are not super durable, so they really are just occasional wear rings, and maybe I want to wear the frenchies more?? Maybe a more durable stone, like Amora Gem or even my sapphire would be a better choice?

LOL! jcent and ginger, I have been dreaming of the Amora Krupps with frenchies for the last 2 weeks! But I have to say your cushion sapphire with the frenchies would be breathtakingly beautiful too. I think definitely wait for a more durable stone jcent. Given how much the frenchies cost, they should be worn everyday!!!

Well, I don't wear anything everyday... so I am still thinking. I think the french cuts should be more of a regular wear ring though, as opposed to occasional wear.

I agree Ooh jcent... I am beginning to really think the blue cushion sapphire with frenchies taper LM style will really be a real beauty, one classy ring... no milgrain. I was thinking of doing it with a peachy pink cushion last year, but I think a blue sapphire would have a much bigger impact. Very bold and classy! As for me, (just dreaming as usual), I am thinking if the frenchies taper costs too much, I might look at a frenchies band, and then get an amora ring to match later. There are some available, but I don't know the quality of work. But then like you said, I would have to give up getting anything else for a while, and I have a list of wants. One frenchies ring is potentially 2-3 projects worth! hehehee... but its nice to dream!
