to make moissanite look REALLY white could they do the Amora treatment and then &add the coating they used to use on enhanced stones/current "forever brilliant"?

I don't think that stone is round. It looks like little edges but I didn't count to tell you which "-agon' it was. lol. There seem to be many flat edges though. hmmm... I always find it sorta neat when someone stumbles across a 'new' shape or cut that isn't as common.

The castle cut is 12 sided, and not anything kike the OEC. What makes the OEC special is the antique cut, with chunky faceting and an open culet. The castle cut is much more thinly faceted.

As well, Forever Brilliant is actually not coated. The initial stones were, leading to confusion for all of us, but FB is not coated. It is a process that uses high heat I beleive, to change the colour of the stones.

So could they do Amora, and then the old Serenity coating process?? No idea, but I guess they *could*... however that coating is not offered anymore at Serenity, so it is moot. Would it have any effects on the already whitened Amora stone? I am not sure.

I've seen photos of castle cut moissys before and IMHO, I think they have a "cheap" look to them, like it should have been faceted more, but it wasn't.

Forever Brilliant is NOt exactly like the Amora process, but they are similar in that they use a proprietary process to alter the molecular structure of the moissanite and thus make it whiter. As a general rule (not always), we around here prefer the Amora process to the Forever Brilliant because the Forever Brilliant process has been known to burn the bottom of the moissanites, and the C&C (Forever Brilliant Company) doesn't screen for cut and color the way BetterThanDiamond does (Amora Company). Also, the final color grades for the two moissanites differ, and the Amora is whiter after the process is complete.

Neither are a coating, as Jcent said.
