I've never purchased anything from HSN. I've never even seen the channel. But after seeing the Daniel K and Victoria Wieck eternity bands on here. I'm very interested.

What are HSN Absolute stones? Are they just CZs?

Who else has purchased HSN's absolute line? Do you like your ring? Do you like the quality?

I have a few Victoria Wieck pieces, and they have absolutes in them. They are just CZs and good quality for the pieces that I have. They hold their own next to my diamond rings. I have a VW piece that has white and yellow absolutes.

eek! So I've been checking HSN periodically for that VW graduated band AND they had it today in my size! YAY! So I purchased it. I just love your whole collection Joolsie! And I LOVED the design of the VW graduated band, so hopefully when I get it, I'll be comfortable enough to wear. I plan to just wear it around the house. But we'll see.

Yay! I love my VW ring graduated ring. I have to bake it a few more times because it is pretty white for me. I did find that my eternities both the VW and Daniel K ran a bit bit on me so I can't wear it on my normal ring finger if I don't have another ring on top of it. I've been blinging out my pointer finger though hehe.

Can't wait to see the Xaiver Emerald Ring. Looks like a honker : ) I think some other gal may have purchased that as well, but I forget who.

I used to have several HSN items and a VW ring that was STUNNING!! Sadly, the ring never fit any of my fingers and I had to let it go to someone on eBay for like $16. I think I sold the rest or scrapped it when my first husband got sick, I have no idea where any of it went otherwise.

I have an Absolute JD ring from HSN. The details on the ring are wonderful!! The CZ is WHITE though, so it need a few hours of baking.

I have a Jean Dousset simulated amethyst and a Laura M simulated aqua marine. They are both beautiful. The settings look better than a lot of diamond settings that I see in the stores. I can't say enough good things about them. I also get more compliments on those two rings than any of my more expensive rings.

I just bought the daniel k asscher eternity band from HSN (after seeing it on here). I'll let you know what I think when I receive it? It should be later this week or early next week. (It says it shipped, but tracking isn't available for it yet)

I couldn't decide between that Daniel k band and the VW graduated. I just loved the trellis graduated design over the asscher, but we'll see when I get it. Can't wait to hear what you think about the Daniel k band.

This is a VW Absolute I just love. The quality is impeccable and despite the honking size, I pull this off as real all the time. My friends know I am a tanzanite junkie and think it is my signature ring! Somedays even I forget it isnt real!

I have the 1ct Absolute round bezel solitaire ring coming to me either today or tomorrow. I think it's a newer piece because there were no reviews. I'm excited to see it in person, I'll let you know how it looks.

I received both the Daniel K asscher uternity and the new Absolute bezel set 3 ct ring yesterday. I *love* the Daniel K. I have a Berricle 2.4 ct asscher solitaire ring (and I think this CZ is pretty even if its colorless), and I think the Daniel K stones are a great match with it. I don't mind the D/E/F colors, though, and if you're someone who prefers a lower color then baking to try and lower this one will probably be the route to go. I don't think I will. It's pretty thick between my fingers and while I'm used to some eternity bands I have that are thicker, this is the thickest of all of mine - jcent's photo is a good representation of how it looks on me as well. I still can wear it comfortably and am as I type this. If you haven't already ordered but plan to, sizing seems to be a little bit on the larger size to me. I got an 8 and it is somewhat bigger than any of my other 8s.

The bezel set stone I'm not sure about. The bezel is thick, so not a lot of light can get in at all. HSN didn't have any profile pics of the ring so I had to take a chance, I'd have preferred a much thinner bezel. Because of that, the stone appears darker in the setting, though it's still plenty flashy in good lighting - kind of hard to explain. Also, it's not an H&A cut, I'm accustomed to my Asha OMC and it's faceting, so I don't know if I like the Absolute stone. I was really getting the ring thinking that I might eventually set an Asha in there since I wouldn't necessarily care if I broke the Absolute cz. I was considering not keeping it but I'm just too lazy to deal with returns, so I probably will relegate it to the jewelry box or one of my daughters LOL

Quality wise, both are very, very nice. Both go just fine with my white gold pieces and have a nice enough weight. They're definitely not cheap costume feeling jewelry. As an aside, HSN's shipping left a lot to be desired. I ordered on May 24th, my items shipped on the 27th via UPS and were not delivered until 6/5 via USPS. That's quite a long time when I'm accustomed to Amazon and even Berricle's much faster straightforward shipping. I guess it's more economical for *them* to do this UPS to USPS thing, but a PITA for customers waiting anxiously, and if I order again I'll probably pay for upgraded shipping just so I don't have to wait so long.

I wonder if the asscher is more comfortable in general since the stones are flat. I'm finding that to be somewhat true of the solitaires, the asscher is just less apt to catch or be noticed when I play with my rings on my fingers, due to the flat top, compared to my OMC. Cause like I said, even though it's thick, the asscher is pretty comfortable and I'm sensitive to those things.

Lucky,..I ordered as 7 and I wear a 6,..I wanted it for my left hand though which is a lil bigger.

Lucky, I have the asscher one I think, I would not call it comfy...but not uncomfy either. But you can feel it. My moissy band I have made with 4mm rounds is so comfy I don't even feel it, so it isn't the big stones, it is the height of the setting I determined. They are just kind of heigh settings. But they look good, so you just have to suck it up, lol.

It looks good Kanga!! They are great for stand alone pieces whenyou want big bling, but don't want to wear your ring. I wear my to the grocery store a lot.

Hey guys- here's the 2 something carat u prong asscher eternity from qvc- baked it last night and I love the difference. All of the other diamonique is getting baked this weekend! Who knew? (well obviously all of y'all did! Haha)

HSN tends to ship a little slower for some reason. They send through UPS, and then transfer to USPS. I believe it took a little under a week before they shipped mine out. Both of my rings are a bit big on me b/c I wear a 4.5-4.75 usually so that's a bummer. They're so pretty though and I wonder if I can get some sizing beads added perhaps!?

I got my 1ct bezel solitaire! It shipped from just a few hours north of me so I ordered it Monday and received it today. So far I love it! I can kind of tell that it would be very white (almost bluish) but the bezel hides that pretty well. The ring itself is nice quality, slightly better than Berricle I'd say (the ring was only $24, so take that as you will). No promises but I'll work on getting some pictures up.

Yay! Glad to hear you got it. I would like to see pics to compare to the bezel I have. I hate that the site has no profile pic of the ring. I entertained ordering it but didn't mainly for that reason.

Here's a few quick ones...the picture kind of indicates H&A cut but I'm not sure about that. It's clear and sparkly though. The setting is really low, 2mm band, and doesn't allow another band to sit flush.

It is a pretty "chunky" ring. I dunno. Either you get used to it or you don't? It's probably more suited for a RHR I think. I can't see it paired with another ring but that's just my $0.02.

Lorrissey:I am so torn because the ring is SOOOOO beautiful. I stare at it whenever it sparkles, and it sparkles ALL THE TIME! Just like someone else said, it's not uncomfortable, but it's not natural either. I like it less when I'm wearing it because aside from the comfort part, it's the way it looks when it's on my finger. I usually wear a size 5, and this ring IS a size 5, but I think it's actually bigger, like a 5.5. The difference is enough to make it look like the ring is big on the finger. I did notice that if I wear it on my normally size 6 finger (and just force it a little over the knuckle, it looks pretty good). BUT! then the problem is the the size 6 finger is my left middle finger, so this ring rub/hits my ering/wedding ring set.

OY!!! lol I'm going to wear it out, on my right hand (size 5) and see if I can 1)get used to it 2) hate it- so I can decide what to do with it!!

I'm wearing my asscher eternity ring today, and I have gotten used to the feeling of it on my hand. It is a little big on me since I normally wear a 4 1/2-4 3/4, but I don't have my fingers against each other as I go about my day. It's so sparkly and I've gotten many compliments on it already. I can't wait to see everyone else's pictures!!

Kanga - I think I might get the round one too in rose gold. It's so pretty!!!!!!!!

I got my rings!! They are both exquisite! I'm in love with the VW graduated band. Looks big in the photos and videos, but it's actually quite comfortable. After I put it on, I even walked my dogs with it on. So it's definitely a keeper.

I'm still on the fence about the Xavier ring. It's quite stunning. The photos don't really pick up the depth of the stones. I was worried it would have that glassy dull look, but it is quite mesmerizing. I love the length of the stone, the proportions of the whole ring.

BUT... but.. there's something about it I can't quite put my finger on. Maybe because there are no windmills. I'm not sure.

Thinking about sending it back. If I do, I'm definitely going to make a five stone AG Krupps or EC with side baguettes and milgrain.

Kanga, I highly value your opinion and after having it on for about 30 minutes came to the same conclusion... It did scream fake, and I don't know. There was something just off about it. But I have more design ideas for when the AG Krupps comes out. It's hard to save all my asscher and EC ideas for the AG, but turns out we may not have to wait too much longer for them. YAY!

The canary and the pink band must be new because I didn't see them before either. I figured I would have to jump on them before they sold out in my size.

I bought the pink Daniel K uternity. I'm not sure of it. It's not comfortable and it's much bigger than I pictured in my head. The color of pink is exceptional and the rose gold looks very good. Here are some pics... What do you think? Is it too "costumey"?

I got my 3 new HSN rings also. While I wait for photos and video to load to my photobucket account, I'll do a quick review.

I agree with Tigger. The rose gold is very pink. It's divine. I love it. The color of the stones is even more divine. From Tigger's photos, they appear to be very pink, but on me and in different lighting conditions, they were a faint pink. Almost a blush pink to light pink.

The yellow gold on the canary was also stunning, but the color of the canary stones left much to be desired. Not as vivid yellow as I'd hoped and that darn greenish tint I hate. and maybe it's just me. Maybe my skin tone just does not do yellow gold or yellow stones. Which is a shame because I LOVE yellow.

The biggest disappointment was the 5 stone JD ring. On HSN's website -- photos AND video, the ring has 5 asschers and 10 small round surprise stones. The ring I was received had 3 Asschers, 2 rounds and the 10 surprise stones. What the what!!! I actually wanted to send back my graduated VW for the 5 stone as after a couple days of wearing it I realized the size 6 is just too big for me. Spins too much.

I really hope that I can return this 5 stone I received for an actual 5 stone asscher one. The design is stunning and the surprise stones really make it special.

side note: I also received my 9x7mm Asha E-ACC and my LOGR plat VS stones art nouveau-ish band. I love BOTH!!

So I'll also mention that with the photos and video, my goal was to get as many different lighting situations as I could as we actually have sun today in San Diego. But I know it's a fluke. June Gloom rarely disappears this early and it's still in the low 60s. So cold for us San Diegans.

My concern with the bands is that they don't look comfortable to me. I am really sensitive to my finger rubbing because a ring is too high around my finger.

If you're sensitive, then I wouldn't recommend it. I don't mind it as I don't really have my fingers closed tightly very often. However, I will say that I am a size 5.5 and ordered the 6. I have the feeling the 5 would have actually fit a little better. AND there is a crazy chilly breeze blowing through my house so my hands are freezing and thus a little smaller than normal.

I'm definitely sending back the VW graduated, the canary, and the "defective" 5 stone.

I LOVE the color of the pink ring. But it is loose and the sides are big. I'm wondering if I should order a size 5 and see if it fits better. If I keep the pink, I'm not going to get a new 5 stone. If I get a new 5 stone, I'm sending back the pink ring. If the pink was a tad smaller, it would be perfect 3.5-4mm instead.

I've been wearing the pink band on the middle finger of my right hand all day. It is gorgeous under all light but I don't think it looks like fine jewelry... IDK. It also rubbed a blister on the ring finger of my right hand. It may have to go back.

I wore my pink band all afternoon yesterday. I actually found it quite comfy. Strangely, more comfortable than the VW graduated. I guess because if this one spins, the stones don't get larger.

But I do love the pink color.

I LOVE the bezel band. That ones a keeper. I think I might order it in rose gold vermeil also.

I really like the tension setting, but not the stone. I guess I'm really just not a fan of RB's. But if I had an 8mm Avarra Sapphire to put in this setting, I would. The setting is awesome!

My Jean Dousset simulated amethyst lost a stone...again. This is the second one I've had home. I sent the other back when a stone in the halo fell out. This time one of the side stones fell out. I have the jewelry repair policy this time so we'll see what they do since the ring is out of stock in pretty much all sizes. I LOVE this ring and I'll be bummed if they can't fix it...

My little HSN story:

I literally accidentally bought my first Absolute piece from HSN last night. I've never purchased anything through a home shopping channel (even though watching them is my guilty pleasure sometimes) but as I was browsing last night I saw a really cute heart shaped created sapphire ring with an Absolute halo on clearance. It said there was only one in my size left, but when I put it in my cart the only shipping option was "waitlisted", meaning the ring was gone. I went ahead and made an account since I had already made an attempt to buy something and typed in X amount of info.

When I checked back on the ring after I made the account, it still said there was one left. Put it back in my cart just to see what was going on. It no longer said waitlisted, but gave three shipping options this time. So I clicked "order confirmation", which usually takes you to a screen where you click something to confirm the order (generally takes you to a PayPal screen to enter your password/info), and then it takes you to a page where you can see your receipt and get your order info. On HSN, clicking the "confirm order" option means you've just bought it. Huh?? I've never shopped on a site that keeps your PayPal info stored and has one button shopping without taking me to the PayPal site to confirm my order. Weird. I basically just wanted to see if the ring was or wasn't in stock because I thought HSN's site was being wonky. I'm glad I ended up with the ring, but now I know to NEVER mess around with HSN's "shopping cart" unless I really want to purchase something. lol!

It turns out that somehow I DID end up getting the very last ring because after the transaction it was listed as sold out.

That 3-stone is beautiful! I see what you mean about it being a little big, but the styling is so nice I'd want it anyway!

I have to ask, what is the cut of that stone. If you listen to the video,he calls it an antique cut. Looking at it in person it is not an elongated cartier cushion cut, it is not a normal cushion cut, it is something I have never seen before but love.

The entire top of the stone is almost but not quite the table. The table has 8 angles to it. It is some twist between an oval and cushion, but it is beautiful in person. The entire ring is very pretty and not a diamond expert, I would say the stones are H or I in color, they are not blinding white.

I agree that the stones are much nicer than a regular cushion CZ. They do have some extra chunky faceting, but are not cartier or antique cut either.

Your estimation that it's between an oval and cushion is dead on. I actually sent mine back. I really did love it, but the size of the stones was a little too big for me and I'd rather have all the extra funds I can get to pay off my peachy pink layaway right now.

My ring actually came today...DH brought it in with the mail. I had forgotten all about it in the excitement of my OEC!

It's a lab sapphire with Absolute stones in the halo.

Thanks Lorrissey! I love the one you sent back, too. I wanted to see Absolute stones in person and that ring is one of the ones I contemplated. But when I saw there was only one of the heart ring left in my size and it was on sale, I had to get it.

I got these rings in!!! I'm in LOVE LOVE LOVE! The ovals appear to have more color to them. The rings I received are not stark CZ white. They have a tinge of yellow and look amazing!

I'm considering keeping both sizes. Size 5 for my left and size 6 for my right. Photos and videos to come tonight. I just got back into town this morning, but wanted to leave a quick review.

HSN Size 5 on my size 5.5 <-- fits MUCH MUCH better than the 6. The 6 is way too loose.

Lorrissey, you are soooo bad for my budget; that's another stunning Absolute! What, if anything, are you planning to wear her with?

I'm not sure yet. haha. I know I did it kinda backwards. The band and then the ring, but I do want an Asha Oval ring. I've narrowed it down to 3 choices. A simple Oval solitaire in a 4 claw prong setting, or East West Semi Bezel OR a three stone with half moon sides.

I do also have a soft spot for the Oval Legacy on AD.

I like the simple setting with claws for an oval or a halo.

I wondered how it would look with your sapphire. I think any solitaire would go nicely.

GUYS! I JUST purchased THIS RING. I'm excited and nervous at the same time! I've always loved the look of a bridge but can't picture it on my finger, and BF says he likes round stones better, so I'm going to wear as a RHR for a while and see how I feel about it. This is my first HSN purchase ever so I'm excited to see what the quality is. I'm already dying for it to get here! LOL

I have always loved ovals, and decided I needed to test one out... so I got this ring.

Oval (10x8mm) in HSN size 5 (my ring size is a 5.5)

I took photos comparing it to my 9mm Amora OEC as I'm deciding on which stone to use for a JbEG Bella halo.

I wasn't having any luck tonight with photos, but here's a crappy video.

I purposely put the OEC down really low in the stone holder thing so that it would look closer to where it will be when set.



What do you guys think of the 10x8mm size? I thought it was kinda perfect -- maybe an 11x9mm to avoid shrinkage.

As you can see my walls are green and the Amora looks quite white next to the CZ.

I think it's perfect if you're going to set it in a halo. If not, I'd go up to the 11x9. Either way, it will look really great on you!

I just got my second Absolute piece, the Jean Dousset heart halo.

It's one of the nicest heart cz's I've seen, fire- and proportion-wise.

I love that! HSN has some nice looking stuff, too bad they don't ship to Canada!

Yes! I do love it. The sapphire is really nice . I don't think the ring looks super "real", though...but it doesn't look trashy either. I like the new CZ heart halo I got a lot better!

And I LOVE Lorissey's marquise eternity!

You know I wear the oval uternity all the time -- for everything -- dishes, dog walking, you name it. I beat it to hell. The rhodium plating is already flaking off, but I have yet to scratch or damage one of the stones and they're just cheap CZs.

This should tell you that an Asha's durability isn't bad.
