I saw that article when someone posted it on WB, which of course caused all kinds of comments, LOL. I haven't seen the ring, but I'm sure it's beautiful. Seems like there wasn't as much controversy when Jessica Simpson got a ruby engagement ring?? Or maybe I just wasn't paying attention. Either way, I loved this article.

I love my rainbows.
I read another article that stated that the ruby has meaning in Asian culture. And, 25K is NOT cheap by any stretch of the imagination. There were some experts who said is was probably a very rare ruby too.

I am not sure you can believe everything hat you hear on the radio. I ave not tipped plenty of time...bad service..gratuity included...not the cultural norm depending on the country, so not tipping does not necessarily make someone cheap.
The thing with all these comments on the ring that are annoying is that none of these so called experts has actually examined the stone with a loop, so they really can't say anything out of ay sort of certainty. I had a jeweler look at my BTD kashmir, and before he pulled out a loop he asked me where the stone was from geographically. Things can be not what they seem...cheap, expensive, as long as she loves it.

I appreciate her points and that she wrote that, but i just found her extremely annoying. you could tell she was on the defense and a little angry... Not sure if she was trying to convince others or herself. I didn't pick up on this at all. Here's that thing about not having a tone or body language to go with the "voice," and how interpretations are left open. I thought she sounded very laid-back and secure in her choices, and she made me laugh out loud a few times with her sarcastic way of making light about something that others take seriously. I had the same reaction as Milady -- "This article rocked my socks!" Partly for the message and partly for her riotous delivery.
