Glad to hear more on the story has progressed. I remember when you told us at first; I felt terrible! The audacity of some heartless individuals in this world just evades my comprehension..
I hope justice is served nice and piping hot, and that you can squeeze some awesome sparkles out of this sucker for all the trouble he's caused you!

I appreciate all the moral support from you guys. I have had to really exercise patience with this which does not come easily for me. I'd love to squeeze enough out of him for a 3 carat Amora Gem, but the truth is, I would probably feel sorry for myself and buy something else before the Amora is available.
The ironic thing is this guy wears a Rosary everywhere he goes. He posts tons of pictures on Facebook and always has on a Rosary. His religion obviously excludes stealing jewelry from senior citizens.

Rosaries are often worn as fashion statements vs. religious statements. Just sayin'.

He would do well to take that rosary off and start praying it for his own darn conversion! I absoultely detest when people wear them as a necklace or show piece. The big man in the sky don't like ugly, and this punks day is around the corner. I wish I had my own drone:) You hang in there Grandma, keep up with your physical therapy and by some way, I know a better sparklie is coming your way!

I guess this guy is making a fashion statement rather than displaying his religious beliefs.
SB922, I have joined a gym to continue my physical therapy. It's much cheaper than at the doctor's office. I thank you for the good wish of a "better sparklie". I hope you are right. At the end of the day though, I remind myself that it is just a ring and I have so much more to be thankful for... reasonably good health, my family, enough money to live modestly and I live in America, land of the free. And I get a lot of support from you guys.

Lifelong Catholic here. Anyone religious enough to care about a rosary would be horrified to WEAR one -- and consider such to be disrespectful. Rosaries are not jewelry. They are a tool for prayerful meditation.
I have worked many years in juvenile justice. Gang thugs are all over this as a "cultural" thing. He's not making a religious statement. He's identifying who he is. Makes perfect sense to me that this guy wears one. He fits the mold!
