How noticeable is the difference between I and J?

My next project is a pair of amora oec earrings. I would prefer 5mm stones, since I like my earrings dainty, but 5mm only comes in I color and the (7.5mm) oec in my ring is J. Is it no big deal since no one is ever going to see them next to each other?
Or does anyone have pictures that compare 5 and 6mm stones for size? I worry about gaudiness and I want to keep the total carat count of my everyday jewelry reasonable.

It should be no deal at all, I doubt anyone who isn't a jewelry fanatic could ever tell the difference, and even that it would be tough. Especially since they are earrings, and won't be seen next to your ring, I can't imagine any problem. I wear my RB moissy studs (un-enhanced, probably L color or so) with my F/G Asha engagement ring every day. I and J are so very close, they are literally one color grade apart, 99% of the population would be hard pressed to see a difference. My earrings are 5.5mm by the way, and I think those or 6mm would be the perfect size, big enough to be seen, small enough to not be "in your face." I know it isn't an OEC, but here is a picture for you to see what they look like size-wise: And a really bad "from real perspective" shot (I am not naked in this photo, but the strapless top was cut out, sorry!)

Or does anyone have pictures that compare 5 and 6mm stones for size? I worry about gaudiness and I want to keep the total carat count of my everyday jewelry reasonable. I worried about colour too. I just received my Amora moissanite 1ctw OEC studs and wondered if they would be white enough to match my 1ct Amora RB (F/G) face up. I want to reassure you that the difference between colour grades is subtle and no one will notice at all. I don't have the greatest pics, but here are a couple: [img]http://[/img] [img]http://[/img] 1ct Amora ring F/G face up, .25 ct E diamond ring, I colour OEC Amora earrings [img]http://[/img] In the last pic, the stones all look a similar colour, they are like that actually. The earrings are, perhaps, a bit warmer but maybe I'm imagining it I think the 5mm is a great size. I went back and forth for a long time between 4mm and 5mm before I finally decided. I love them, perfect size for everyday wear.

MissCassie, thanks for taking the time to post pics, I found them very helpful when I was trying to make my decision about size. Love your pics those earrings are gorgeous on you!
