Now this is about the only lighting I DON'T like my asha in ~ it takes on a glassy/purplish hue that drives me insane. The moissanite is warmer, but it's a sparkle monster and it wins

Last irritating lighting shot. See that fire in the moissanite? This is where the asha looks fake to me (and not bad in the photo, really bad to my eyes in person. Just my opinion I will stress).

Editing to say that 99% of the time, my Ashas look like real diamonds, they really do. I am overly color sensitive, and with the lighting up here in AK, sometimes they can take on a blueish purplish hue that I don't like. I normally love the cooler tones, and although warmer, I'm surprised at how amazing the enhanced moissanites are ~ the sparkle is just off the hook! Can hardly wait till the Amoras come out....can you imagine!?!

Beautiful stones! Thanks so much for sharing the side by sides shots with us. How would you describe the difference in the colors? Like you, I am extremely color sensitive so for now, I have an Asha that I love until the Amora gem comes out. Your raving review is making me think I may have another option though, if the Amora gem takes too long.

I'm glad you ladies are enjoying ~ I'm hoping to help someone out who is on the fence between Asha and Amora enhanced.

It's tough because they are so different. A good comparison (for me) would be an ice cube (not a frosted one) or water (Asha) vs a candle (Amora enhanced). I think the light depending on where you live is a HUGE factor. I live in Alaska, so a lot of cool is pulled out of the environment. It tends to make my ashas look a bit glassy in some lights, and well, kind of purplish in others. A bit too cold for me. The moissanite looks pretty darn good 85% of the time (like an H colored diamond, and it performs beautifully). 10% of the time it looks a bit warm (in overcast indoor, but not outdoor, is that weird or what?), and about 5% of the time it looks like a true warm J. Not a bad thing, just a warm J (natural lighting indoors, raining outside and at dusk).

I would suggest you order one of each and compare them side by side before you order one. I have found that most stones (ashas)seem a little bit lighter once set in a white metal, so I'm hoping my moissanite does the same. Even if it doesn't, it's so gorgeous, I just don't care!!!!

I definitely plan on getting the Amoras when they come out ~ I'm getting a big 8mm round to put in solitaire I have, a 2.5 round 3 stone, and either a Krupps or Asscher. Studs for sure. And I'm still going to keep and wear my J colored enhanced moissanite.....

I just love the colour of the Amora especially in that first shot.

I love your analogy of the candle vs ice! That's the beauty of a slightly warm, sparkly stone! I have come to love my OEC moissy because of that warm candle light glow, and honestly I don't think I would be as happy with a whiter stone! LOVELY cushions you have there!

How much of a difference is there in an Amora enhanced cushion and an unenhanced cushion? I like a little warmth. I don't love yellow or greenish hues. Is it worth the extra money for the enhancement? I'm curious to see an Amora moissanite next to an Asha ACC and a Wink Cartier cushion.

Tigger I'd go for the enhanced if you are getting anything bigger than a 6-6.5mm stone, but that's my opinion. The bigger the stone, the more color you are going to see. I think you'll LOVE the enhanced cushions!
