Accidental find:

I just stumbled across a site that sells octagon cut Moissanites. They're charging about $500 a carat. Ouch. They say they are C&C. The cut is unappealing to me in this photo, especially due to the bowtie, but the octagon idea is interesting none the less.

Well, this cut is sold in several web venues, including eBay and Amazon.

Conclusion

Am I the only one who didn't know about this? Has anyone seen one with their own eyes, and if so, what did you think?

Maybe I'm crazy, but I like the picture of it better in the first link than the second. However, I have a good feeling that that is not a picture of an actual moissanite. The second picture didn't do anything for me at all, but that is probably much more indicative of what it actually looks like IRL.
