Someone hunt me down!!!! I have decided if I am going to be happy with anything other than my stolen ring, it HAS TO BE A 4 CARAT AMORA GEM. Cancel my order for a smaller one. I'll take hearts and arrows, brilliant cut or whatever comes out first! I am saving my pennies!!!! I have more pennies than patience at this point. You'd think I had won the lottery. Hi Grandma, first off, I have to say that your grandbaby is sooo cute! I want one of those even more than I want a 4 ct. Amora Krupps gem! As excited as the younger DB members are, we have to be triple or quadruple that! From the time I first noticed sparklies (and that's a long time) I've lusted for a big rock but knew it wasn't ever going to happen. Now it will..woohoo!!

I have just recently been introduced to moissanite and of course the thing we are all waiting for now, the Amora Gem. I have been doing as much background research as I can about the gem, but am having trouble finding much about it's strength. The website says it is 26.7% harder than sapphire, and that it is harder than CZ but doesn't give a numeric value. What does this mean in comparison to a diamond though? For all the information I have this gem could be marginally stronger then CZ and get scratched easily. Can someone please let me know if I am missing something obvious! And I am sorry if I am posting this to the wrong forum as well, I have zero experience with forums.

I am so glad there will be a waitlist!! I know exactly what I want. A 7.5mm! I hope I don't miss the waitlist when it is set up! Oh, I don't think ANY of us will miss out on the wait list, as we know it'll be coming early fall, and I'm sure there will be a large window for everyone who wants to be on it to sign up.  Plus, we all look out for each other, and if we know someone wanted to be on there, we'd hunt them down and make sure they knew about it. ^.^ This is a lovely post!

If you've been reading up on moissanite and Amora, you know that they are stronger than a sapphire, which is a 9 on the MOHS scale, and a diamond is a 10. The Amora Gem is a 9.25 on the MOHS scale, making it the second hardest gemstone on the face of the planet. It should not easily scratch, in theory, the only thing to scratch it should a diamond. All the information can get quite confusing, so don't be worried about asking questions even if it seems "obvious" to others, we're happy to help around here! ^.^
