I like both looks. Just give very different visuals and "feelings". There are some stones I would probably prefer in one over the other.

The milgrain gives it a softer look, the non-milgrain a bolder chunkier look.

I agree that they are totally different so it would be nice if both were offered. I definitely prefer it WITH milgrain, though!

i think the first picture - with the milgraining around all the edges - looks better than the second picture - where there's some milgrain, but not on all edges.

i'd prefer it either on all edges - like the first photo - or on none of the edges...i don't like the half-and-half look. but yes, i think giving the customer both options and letting them choose would be the best way!

I agree Dana, it has to be either fully milgrained, or none at all to look best.

I love it with the milgrain! The bezel looks a lot more delicate too.
