I have to wonder if CTHR is just waiting until the last day possible to respond so that they can have what, an extra month or two before their patent gets invalidated? Or, perhaps, if we're really lucky, they realize they don't have any ground to walk on and realize fighting is useless, thereby allowing BTD to reach the point where they can put Amora out for sale and all the people who've been waiting so long can have their dreams stones sooner rather than later! (Okay, totally wishful thinking, but a girl can dream!)
I was reading on investor village that there is grumbling in the investors, "Unless of course you (the CEO) believe that you must dump the M before the patents expire, because you can't establish C&C as THE dominant M source (or you don't think M has much of a future anyway)" Source - last message at the bottom

BY AUGUST!!!!?????? Oh, I will feel on my way as soon as I get on a list. I will be over the moon when I put in my order for the 4 carat round!!! Thank you Jeanie...he's a cutie and has such unusual expressions. I think as these stones roll out, us older folk should get them first because we'll have less time to enjoy them. Is anybody buying this? Hi Grandma, That sounds totally reasonable to me... Letting us vintage sparkle sisters buy first. If any of the younger girls object, we'll just whack 'em (gently) with our canes! Waiting list for Amora Gem: As we get closer to actual sale of Amora gem, we are planning to create a waiting list so those customers interested can enter what cut/size you are after which will help us guide intial production. H&A rounds will still be first though smile We'll have more details on that by August.
YAY!!!!!!!

"Based on some conversations with resellers, we've already had at least one offer to have our entire monthly supply purchased up front for another country, so as noted, the concern right now is purely on meeting existing demand."
Hey Less....promise us all we'll get our wish list before you let anyone come near these puppies.!!!

+1 Less, You have a loyal following of DB members who would be beyond heartbroken if all the Amora gems were snapped up by a reseller. I have to say that the possibility of something like that has been my greatest fear since you first revealed the possibility of Amora gems. Can you give us some reassurance here?

I am amazed still at why they just let moissanite slide like that. Sure, they had the patent and were the sole distributors, and moissanite does have its flaws... But it has its good things too, and there are people that actually like it. It is too bad they never did anything to market it further and to improve it.
I know! Really, it's a beautiful gemstone, and with a better marketing strategy and the willingness to improve their product, I think it really could have succeeded much better than it did. Some of the investors believe that they should have just stuck with the "one color" strategy, and should not have made it "public" that they were "improving the color", it should have been behind the scenes quietly. Many also think that moissanite did not need improvement in color or cut, and the only thing they should have focused on was promoting moissanite as a "fine jewel", which it is, but if you don't listen to your customers (how many people were/are turned off by the color seen in less excellent specimens of moissanite?), you can't force a product no one wants onto people, you have to make it desirable. For example, my stud earring don't match, the cut, while round brilliant on both, is painfully different when side by side, and one is sparklier and whiter, and the other has a dark hole type thing in the center if viewed at the right angle. Not so noticeable when they are worn on separate ears, but boy now that I know more, I would have wanted to make sure the cuts matched. I wouldn't buy moissanite studs again unless I could sit down and go through stones and match them myself, or have someone I highly trust do it. Maybe I'm not the average moissanite consumer, but I do find the stones beautiful, the company just could have been willing to do a little "polishing" on their product so to speak. Anyway, I am just itching with anticipation for Amora, and can't wait to see how it takes off. I already have a few friends who are excited about the prospect of having an Amora engagement ring (one in particular whose boyfriend I'm good friends with, and I'll be taking him shopping when the times comes!).
