I'm seeing Milady and Ly soon!! yay!
So, I forgot a little detail about my ring. I went back today and asked the jeweler to set the OEC's facets straight in the setting so the facets lined up, and also maybe lowering the stone a bit. hehehehahaha...he looked at me, like, "girl you are a pain in the butt I can just tell," lol! He said I was the first and only person in 28 years to request that the facets line up straight with the setting, or even notice that. I told him I was taking glamour shots for my sparkly friends and I want everything lined up so it loooks its best (for its portrait, ya know.) Ha! So, while I waited...He did the best he could with that because with the size of the stone and the amount of room he had in the prongs - they were already in the ring - we had to work with what was there. He said the prongs kept hitting a facet corner and then would tilt the stone, but he just kept turning it until he got it the closest he could get it. The stone is already set the lowest it would go also. All in all, I think it looks great and...
I LOVE THIS AWESOME RING!!!
The jeweler commented on the stone again, and thought it was really great to have moissy cut in the OEC. He really likes the stone. This ring is amazing guys! he also did a great job sizing it. It is eggshaped, but not East/West...it's slightly eggshaped North/South. This is great actually because even though it isn't tight on my finger it doesn't spin! How cool is that. Plus, if I lose weight and need it sized down more I can just add gold to the bottom inside of the shank and have it more rounded out and thickened on the inside to make it smaller. (make sense??) Perfect!
Oh, and they replaced the battery in my watch for free.
Glamour shots soon, I just haven't had a chance.
