Hello ladies!! I've been lurking on here for months.. My bf and I finally decided too take the plunge after 15yrs. (middle school sweethearts) .. I envy's everyone's moissanite sooo lovely!! I'm finally getting my own.. With that said, I've been wanting the OEC but my concern is the color; should I get it enchanted? Does it make that big of a difference? I read somewhere that enhancted OEC doesn't really get that white? Is that true ladies? Anyone with enhancted and non enhancted OEC care to share your thoughts? I'm looking to get a 9mm. If that makes a difference. Thanks for all your help in advance!! So excited!!

You will find varying opinions on this. As far as I know, no one has both right now to compare side by side. But Kangaroo Crazy did for a while, and she posted pics in this forum to show them side by side. I have only seen unenhanced in real life, and although I am colour sensitive, they were amazing. Warm and buttery yes, but nothing funky about them, and very realistic for an old cut stone.

I have a moissy OEC pendant, and it looks authentic to me with its warmth unenhanced.

I'm ordering an un enhanced 3ct OEC. I decided to go without enhancement because I love the warmth of the old diamonds and I thought it would replicate one. Im not sure when I'm going to get it because it will be in my e ring but I will post pics when I get it. Honestly my biggest concern with the OEC was the open culet. But like I said I love old diamonds so the culet will be right on par.

The culet is not being cut so large anymore. These stones are 10mm, to give you an idea of proportion. The culet is a nice size I think.

I have an enhanced Amora OEC in a 9mm size. I LOVE it! I've never seen an unenhanced in person, but I just didn't want to chance having my engagement ring show green at all. I've seen the green in other moissanites.

In all of my other jewelry I will be getting unenhanced, though. If I were you, I would buy the unenhanced and see if you love and (test it's color out in many lights) and if you don't, send it back and get the Amora it'll be a win-win!
