Well, it is a long story, but I still no don't have an OEC for the center, and they are backordered, AGAIN... So I am guessing a little bit. My fingers are crossed for fast cutting on C&C's part.

Yesssss, you got your french cuts! Nooooo, you didn't get your OEC!
Well, at least you're half way there. And just think, while you wait for your OEC ship to come in, you'll have time to find an additional parcel of french cuts with which to make an accompanying band.
No, I'm not enabling you. I'm supporting you.

well, I am staying with my original plan!! It will be made at the same bench as that second ring though...and it will have these!! They are antique stones from JbEG, so a bit wonky... but I love the character and romantic feel. These pics are magnified like 5000x, so when set you won't see the wonky so much. --------- Normally, I am more of a precision cut kinda girl...but with the OEC and warm metal, I think these are perfect! Uhm, I am more confused that you are, jcent. What is the original plan? I've just gone through this thread twice, back to front and front to back. LOL! I LOVE these Frenchies!!! What are you doing to incorporate them into a 10mm OEC ring, other than causing a serious droolfest at the thought of it?!!!

hahaha, I actually haven't posted a picture of it. It is this Lang's ring but with some changes... Like the basket is far too much for me, and the prongs are a bit too wide etc...

I voted yellow. You already know I´m an all yellow type of girl... BUT... I also think that old cuts tend to look better in the watmer golds.
I know what you mean about having too much time between planning and purchasing. The options drive me insane, bu tI have found that it´s always best to go with your first gut instinct. i find that jewels chosen this way tend to be the ones I wear the most...

Yay jcent! I am so glad you are getting your frenchies. Is this the parcel you mentioned before?
I think the wonky (absolutely gorgeous) stones will just add to the beauty of the ring... give it a genuine antique-y feel.
Cant wait to see pics!

You and I are on like the same wavelength always. This is one of my dream rings. I know I've posted it these boards in one of the "wish list/ dream ring" forums. I'm beyond jealous that you're recreating it with a 10mm OEC.
