I'm SO CAREFUL with my ring so I have no idea how this happened but I think my poor asha has it's first scratch! It's TINY and can't be seen at all unless I look at it really really hard and catch it in the right light. No one will ever notice but it still makes me sad because I know it's there!

My main reason for wanting an asha over amora in the first place was because I wanted the OEC. But here's my question and I'm sorry if this has been asked but I couldn't find it...From what I've read, the amora gem will not be released in any antique cuts. Is this true?

ETA: I know now that moissanite co does have amora OEC but at the time that I was getting my ring, I was new to this and didn't see the OEC option for the ring I wanted like AD had so I thought I couldn't do it.

I am sorry your stone scratched! Asha and CZ aren't durable enough for my life either. I am so careful with my rings and don't really wear them at home, but I have dogs and kids...and I need moissy.

Amora Gem is releasing an OEC cut. It will not be the first cut released, but is in the first 6... so I would imagine it would be in a year maybe... The time frame is rather up in the air still. The AG OEC will be F coloured, like all Amora Gems. The C&C OEC cut that you an get from MoCo or Schubach's is much warmer in colour. Probably more like M/N if you got it unenhanced, J if you got the Amora. I find the unenhanced colour very pleasing and realistic, but it is most definitely warm. So when deciding between the 2, I would consider what colour you want and go from there... You may not want an F coloured OEC... so then either the unenhanced or Amora OEC cut by C&C would be a better choice for you, and are both available now.

Thank you! Since my scratch is so small and virtually nonexistent (Most of the time I can't even find it!) I think I'm going to stick with my asha and hold out for the amora gem!

Good plan, if the scratch is super tiny then it should be fine for a year/year and a half (maybe?) until you can upgrade to the more durable Amora Gem! Plus, that way you save the cost of another stone plus setting costs, and that can go towards your Amora Gem OEC!
