Oh, I always notice/look/admire rings others wear, it's a lot of fun to admire the bling of others, sometimes I can even be sneaky about it!

I'm insane about e-rings; It's like the only rings that really *do it* for me!

I spent about a year and a half plotting my e-ring. I initially bought a 9mm serenity enhanced moissanite RB. Then they came out with the OEC and I had a heart attack so I traded up to get a 9mm Amora OEC (long story, PM me if so inclined). I searched for a setting for about 3 months, until I found *THE ONE* by JbEG. Then I plotted shank width, melee color, melee type (single cuts, full cuts), melee size, metal, proportions until I was blue in the face. I was a LOT like Nikkikeith in that I was superrr trigger shy. It was soooo hard for us to save up the money and the idea of putting it all into a ring that wasn't sheer perfection just scared the wazoo out of me!

Now, BF has the ring (I can't see it, wahh!) and I'm waiting on the proposal! Obviously I'm planning stand-in's as well as anniversary rings (what he doesn't know won't kill him)

I'm ring obsessed more than e-ring obsessed. I think I'll probably only have one diamond-like, engagement-y ring. (My actual e-ring is a morganite, even.) However I love colored stones, and I want a lot of sparkly bands, so I still love looking at rings of all types. Oddly, I have almost zero interest in other types of jewelry like necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc, although I do want a nice pair of studs at some point.

I love that you posted it! As soon as I got the go ahead I started doing so much research which led me to this forum. It's been so helpful and amazing. I also have changed my mind a million times, but I THINK what I'll be getting is a 8mm cushion cut asha in their Tamara setting. (custom made for the cushion since it's found online with a round brilliant). Can't wait to add my photos to the RL ones!!

I'm getting horrible about doing little thigns behind his back kind of. I sent my ring off to have the stone set and he doesn't know it yet. I just mention it in passing and then move on. I got my setting because he got a little tispy and told me to go ahead and order it then forgot he said it. lol I love rings and planning a another one, but he doesn't know it just yet.

Just make sure to air out all your dirty Laundry when he is tipsy again, Ms.A!

I do. He is never mad, and laughs about it. I pad our savings account and checking account for this reason. Its not like I spend our last bit of money on stuff. lol. He is going to kill me when I say I think I want an ACC instead of just a cushion in my setting

Kat- totally hear you on planning other rings. I showed my bf the pic last night of my "alternate e-ring" plan... he just kind of laughs at me- I don't think he thinks that I'm serious.... what he doesn't know is that I already have the stone :-) Crafty!

Dea- I agree- for as much as I love rings, e-rings to be specific, I don't pay ANY attention to the rest of it. I wear a pair of plain silver hoops or cz studs (my new favorite are diamonique bloom cut- for some reason I just can't justify spending as much on earrings, etc, as I would a ring. I have a bunch of rings I rotate through, and then usually a silver bracelet. But the e-rings??? Obsessed.

Miss Cassie- I had dinner last night with a bunch of girlfriends- and I have been all worried that my e-ring would look too much like a best friend of mine, but then I saw her OTHER best friend's ring and had to laugh- they looked a lot a like (theirs)... but then I started to panic because she has an emerald cut halo (more antique style than mine) but this is what I'M getting and I hate that someone might think- oh, she saw my ring and got the same thing. Uggh. (even though mine is already ordered) I wanted to grab her hand and oogle over it, but then I would look even more awkward when I show up at our next event with something sort of similar (I don't know anyone with an emerald halo - except now her)

Ms A- like I said, I told him I was going to ORDER the ACC and e-ACC since they were stopping production sometime ("sometime" - so vague-haha) and that I wanted to have rings with them SOMEDAY. {So I already own one and waiting on the second}. I have also ordered wax molds of two settings I have been debating, but will now end of custom on one of them. REALLY??

I adore him so much and know that he doesn't care that much- and just wants me to be happy. However, I do feel a little sneaky. A girl's gotta get her fix! haha

I feel sneaky too, and he may get a bit upset, but then I just do something over the top and he forgets. lol He never gets mad about it. In our small town people are floored he lets me do the things I do because I guess it is just not like him. (ha ha!) I love AVC and I wish moissanite came in one, but I am now kinda leaning towards an asha ACC, but really want a moissanite. What do I do girls!! New ring?? lol
