I don't really see any warm yellow as others describe it. If all I saw was buttery warmth, I would totally keep these. I like buttery and brown tones. It's the green glow that's weird.
I'm starting to think that since I'm very olive skin tone, it just brings out the green? I dunno. Or maybe San Diego just has weird ocean haze that it's overcast pretty much all the time and that's why I see the bad sides of the stones. I don't know. Or maybe I really am just super color sensitive.
Lorrissey, do you see the green glow with inside lighting too? I do think San Diego's weather may be having some affect on the color you see. And your olive skin may also be a factor.
I have not had any overcast weather since I got my ring with a 7mm unenhanced OEC. The only time I can sort of find the green tint you talk about is at dusk, and only if I stare deep into the stone and primarily from the side. I also sort of saw it when riding in the car with all the tinted windows.
Also, are you looking at them on your ears? Your hair and the angle they sit on your ear will also affect the way they look.
I am so sorry you are not loving them right away, I know how frustrating that is. I personally really like the glow you talk about. I think it is what makes moissanite look so sparkly from a few feet away, which is where most people see it from.
