They were all 1ct hearts. smile And all sides were diamonds, the stones needed were too small for moissy.

So I really got a chance to look at the earrings during lunch. We had sun out during lunch. Of course in direct sunlight, they look amazing.

I was worried about the size. I was actually hoping that I could have them in a 4mm or 4.5mm size, but the 5mm / 1cttw is good. Although I definitely wouldn't go bigger.

In the shade of the car and in shade in general, I do see the odd color. It behaves so strangely. I don't mind the brown tones. It's the green tones and glow that bug the heck out of me.

I'm about to leave work and it's overcast again, so I'll see how well they perform in true overcast weather in a minute. I really want to love these... frown

OECs are a warmer color, due to the cut. Do you have any other moissanite?

Yes, I've had an unenhanced oval moissanite and an amora OEC. My oval was just straight up green. the Amora still had that weird snot glow. This unenhanced has a better color than the Amora IMO.

I don't really see any warm yellow as others describe it. If all I saw was buttery warmth, I would totally keep these. I like buttery and brown tones. It's the green glow that's weird.

I'm starting to think that since I'm very olive skin tone, it just brings out the green? I dunno. Or maybe San Diego just has weird ocean haze that it's overcast pretty much all the time and that's why I see the bad sides of the stones. I don't know. Or maybe I really am just super color sensitive.

I'm going to keep observing them for the next couple of days. Maybe it will grow on me.

Any pictures yet Lorrisey? I am sorry that you aren't in love with them like I was hoping you would be.

Lorrissey, do you see the green glow with inside lighting too? I do think San Diego's weather may be having some affect on the color you see. And your olive skin may also be a factor.

I have not had any overcast weather since I got my ring with a 7mm unenhanced OEC. The only time I can sort of find the green tint you talk about is at dusk, and only if I stare deep into the stone and primarily from the side. I also sort of saw it when riding in the car with all the tinted windows.

Also, are you looking at them on your ears? Your hair and the angle they sit on your ear will also affect the way they look.

I am so sorry you are not loving them right away, I know how frustrating that is. I personally really like the glow you talk about. I think it is what makes moissanite look so sparkly from a few feet away, which is where most people see it from.
