At the top right, there is a Google search bar that is tailored for these message boards. Do a search for "Asha vs Moissanite" and "Ahsa or Moissanite" and you'll get tons of threads that have the info you're after.

I have both.
I do not have to clean my Asha’s every day, but then I take my rings off to do anything which would get them dirty, I clean my rounds maybe once a week, sometimes they don’t even need it then, but my ACC needs cleaning more often, it shows up finger prints and body oils more than the rounds.
I don’t like my Moissanite studs, they get dirty too fast. No one ever notices or comments on them. They don’t sparkle as much as I thought they would on the angle that my ears have been pierced (if they angle up just slightly more they sparkle more, weird I know).
But I think I would like a moissy ring more than the earrings (I guess I expected too much from the earrings).
But I really do love my Asha rings, particularly my round 5 stone which is my favourite jewellery item.
The colour of my moissy studs (unenhanced) melds into my olive skin, so they don’t show up as much as a whiter stone would. I don’t know if that would happen so much with a ring, but it gives me pangs of annoyance from my studs.

thank you soooo much ladies.... I recently just learned about diamond sims so am hesitant, My finance wants to buy me diamonds but I am just not that comfortable buying real dimonds. I have read tons of reviews, and althought mossy seem more durable, because they are like .05 harder, asha seem like the winner because they seem more real. I know many friends of mine who have diamonds and their rings look dirty always, so cleaning is not an issue with me...
Thank you sooo much ladies you guys have helped so much

I have had both as well and for me, it is Moissanite hands on down on believeability. When my Asha gets dirty it doesn't just look like a "dirty diamond" it looks like glass. It is all about seeing both though and making your own decision....cut plays a big role when considering each too though. totally. if I didn't wash my ashas twice a day at least they just looked like dirty glass. moissanite always looked like a diamond (to me.) BUT I like lower colored stones, so that's part of why moissy appealed to me. I know I like the H-M range rather than the D-G range. But yeah...even when filthy it still has depth and sparkle. I'm also super fair....I wonder if that's part of why I like it so much after reading Lorrissey's post?

I would agree with asha for believability compared to diamond between the two. Also with the moissy it's got a shallow depth so make sure you consider that when putting it into a setting.
What do you ladies think in terms of diamond believability and the amora gem? I'm considering putting my 8mm H&A round gem into a diamond setting and am sooo nervous it will stick out as being different. The setting is G color high quality diamonds with a small halo. I'm hoping it will look like just a high-quality diamond with a little extra sparkle and will match with the setting. What do you think? It's so hard to tell without having more pictures of the gem!

The amora gem will be f so, in essence, whiter than your diamonds...

Yes I know color-wise. I meant in terms of difference in brilliance and fire.

Oh, and I didn't notice the cuts at first with my moissy, only the depth of the stone being really really shallow.

It's always interesting to me to see the complaints about the cut of moissanite. Maybe I'm not super sensitive? Everyone has always thought my moissy was a diamond when I had one. I dropped it off to get sized and the jeweler wrote "diamond" on the slip! Now granted had I been trying to sell it he'd have looked at it much more closely-but everyone assumes it's a diamond.
OF course that was a round cut, I've never seen an oval in person.
I love seeing the variation in responses. For me a moissy is SO much more realistic! I'm guessing we're all sensitive...but maybe to different things. It's fascinating to me. I do agree that the amora gem will blow everything out of the water though! +1

The oval, radiant, and square cut moissy are nothing like a diamond. The cut of cushions and rounds varies so much that its not an immediate give away, but the round cut is flatter than most RBs.
The cushion is pretty diamond like from what I understand.
I own moissy RBs and I doubt anyone would question that they are diamonds, they just arn't particularly pretty on my ears.

I have 1 ct Ashas in platinum that I don't like, and you don't like your moissies! I guess this is just further evidence of differing tastes making the world a more interesting place!

I have a 9mm Amora OEC Moissy (J color) that I traded in my 9mm RB moissy to get. The RB was a steely gray color, while my current OEC is a warm ivory color. I honestly adore my OEC so very much that no future stones (Amora Gem) being released could make me unhappy with what I have. I don't have asha, but I have a cushion CZ 3 stone (cz trap sides) and hands down my moissanite is 100% more believable based on the fact that the moissanite always looks "alive" and doesn't turn to plastic when dirty like the CZ does. Asha might be totally different from other CZ's though, so I could be comparing apples to oranges. Here is a post done by a board vendor Jewels by Erica Grace (my jeweler) where Erica was kind enough to compare my OEC Amora (J color) to an H color OEC Diamond and an OMC Asha: http://betterthandiamond.com/discussion/ubbthreads.php/topics/740767/1I'm really happy that she did the did the comparison pictures for me, because it makes me even more positive that I made the perfect choice for me!

I love these pics, I'm almost embarrassed to say how many times I've looked at them ! I've also e-mailed the link to a couple of young brides-to-be trying to decide between estate diamonds (both love the look of older cuts) and an Amora moissy OEC. These pics convinced me to purchase 1ctw Amora moissy OEC earrings and I loooove them, the colour is perfect for me and just like you describe "a warm ivory colour." I have not seen Asha stones in real life so Ashas may look different than CZ, but I did have 1ctw CZ earrings and there is no comparison to the Amora OECs - the Amora OECs have more depth and sparkle!
