I recently posted a pic of an opal, listed as Australian, & was told it looked very much like an Ethiopian opal, not a problem. I do have an Ethiopian hydrophane opal & it is a little different in that it must be irrigated about once a month to maintain its nice color. Ive learned to use the old enema apparatus & the results are good. Not really hard to do but it is necessary & not too messy!-for the love of gems-steve...[Please be aware this is a story-not fact!] grinlol!
