For the ladies, who rock honkers on your fingers, what sizes do you guys rock in your ears and why? Is there a size that you think would be "too big" for everyday wear?

I don't know if anything I have qualifies as "honkers" but for me? My sweet spot in my ear is 2ctw. I love bigger and I'll wear smaller but 2ctw allows me to wear them as studs or put jackets on them if I want to. For my lifestyle 4ctw is too big for daily wear.

I don't know if Dreamy is a honker either... but she's a 10x8mm... and I usually wear my 6.5mm martinis when I wear her...

Thanks for your answers so far ladies!

What I was trying to find out was that if your finger ring is a honker, do you also wear bigger earrings to match, or does the size of your finger ring not influence your earring sizes at all?

My old daily wear set had, what I thought at the time, was perfect proportions:
6.5 mm earrings (1 ct ea.)
7 mm RHR (1.25 ct.)
7.5 mm pendant (1.5 ct)
8 mm e-ring (2 ct)

the numbers just felt so right at the time...but then DSS sunk in!!!

Now that I have a bigger e-ring (10.23 x 9.23), I wanted to upgrade my studs too accordingly. My old 6.5 mm's seemed perfect ... but I've even been contemplating up to 8 mm heheheheheh!!!!!

But again...even though I want "wow factor" I still want my ring to take center stage. Does it make sense to have bigger earrings just because I got a bigger e-ring, or should I stick with 6.5 mm? Can I get away with 7.5 mm or 8 mm studs or is that just too much bling at one time???? I guess that's my biggest concern. Would it be too much bling at one time, or would it look proportionate to have big earrings worn with a big e-ring?

I totally get were your coming from.... After I got Dreamy I knew at that point I didn't want any of my other jewelry to ever take away from her... BUT I still wanted noticeable pieces...

... So if it was me I don't think I would go over the 7.5mm studs ... those would still be eye catching but still make the person go straight back to the ering.... I think I would feel the same on a pendant... I wear a 6.5mm round for that as well...

i mix it up smile

my studs are 1.5ctw (.75 each), and my bezel moissy pendant is only .5. my diamond solitaire is a 1.5ct radiant cut, but sometimes i will also wear my 9mm moissy. soon i will have my 8.5mm kashmir asccher set in a bezel with total face up of 12mm; so i have varied carat weights on at any given time, but like you i prefer to have the e-ring take center stage laugh

also for "believability" i think a mix of modest and blingy works better than everything huge.
