I am love with this setting but 9x6 is as big as it comes. cry I can't help but imagine how incredibly gorgeous this would be with a big ol' fat 10x7 in it. http://www.adwar.com/products/styles/23843L/view I love, love, love this ring and keep coming back to it over and over, but I just can't take the leap of faith because I really think it will feel small on my hand. I tried sketching out the size of the stone and halo the other night and it made me even more nervous. The size of the halo seemed sufficient but I still want a larger center stone. Sigh. I love this ring but I'm so scared of ordering it and being stuck with it since it will be considered custom. I'm also lusting after this james allen setting http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/pave/ring/item_412-8948.asp but it starts at $925 which is almost same amount I had hoped to spend on the entire set. frown Bahhumbug.

I would contact Melissa and Wink and see if they can get that setting in a 10x7 from another vendor.... It couldn't hurt to find out since you love it so much...

Sounds like a solid idea, I just feel like I'm pestering people when I send that sort of message. Haha. "Hey I know it only lists this particular size but could you dig around to see if you can find something?". I feel like I'm being a pain in the butt.

I used to feel that way too but then realized, if you don't ask you never know. They are in this business for a reason, ask away girlfriend.

Are you wanting an Asha? If so, AD.com has a bezel set pear ring, kinda like the James Allen one, in 10x7mm for $592, Asha included:

That's what they are in business for... no reason to feel bad... Melissa wouldn't mind at all to see if that setting could be found somewhere else... I mean... who knows... someone else might have seen it in and wondered the same...

I am going the asha route and I really love that setting but I'm worried having a gap between the ring and band will drive me bonkers. I've never had a set that didn't sit snuggly together. I've talked to Chris about a simple tiffany style set but in order to get a matching set it would have a prong on the tip of the pear instead of a v cap and in the stock photos the prong looks really.....prominent/out there. I'm starting to worry I'm being to picky... Surely it can't be this hard to pick out a ring? crazy

I know just what your talking about Minimuffins... tiffany style setting prongs are very beefy ... but you know... I like that .. some people don't... but I think it adds to the real factor of the ring... because I would want good strong prongs to hold my diamond... wink
