Guys, I have been wanting a tattoo (or a few) for MANY years. But I always refused to get them 'just because', now that I have my son and I have been away from my country for 10 years I decided to do them.

I am getting my sons name on my wrist (lengthwise), about 2inches long

My family's initial on my shoulder/back.

Now I DO know WHAT I want, I am just having a liiiiiiittle issue deciding, should I go smaller...bigger for the initial one.
I originally imagine it about 4" x 4" on the back, almost going on top of shoulder a bit....

What do you guys think?

I also have a 3rd one I want to get.
I want want to represent my son, my family and one for my beloved country.

So I chose many years ago to write 2 words from the National Anthem, it means 'beloved land', it means a LOT to me.

Now, just want to figure out the font. That will go either on other shoulder OR right on middle/side of my back, where the bra sits

... first off your tattoo artist should take into scale the size of the are on your body you are wanting this tattoo... if you are wanting it proportional to the area .... say a shoulder blade... then I would take that area and center the letter with it's sizing being at half... but it's all in if you are wanting it small or large... the way I'm talking about would be perfect size to your frame... ...

Love the first font as well as far as size goes roo has good advice. I would want to keep it proportional to your body size/type. Be sure to post pics when you get it!

thanks ROO. I did show it to him, he asked where do you want it and I said, shoulder, he said OK. But we did not get into details since I told him I was going to think over the size a bit....which he of course thought was totally fine.

I am pretty small (5'7 - 115), so I want it to be visible, proportional, yet delicate and unique

Very unique!!!! .... it's going to look great... he'll stencil it on you first to make sure you like the placement... take some pics when you get them... I would love to see...
