OT -everytime someone sees me they make a comment on how big i am, just bc im pregnant doesnt mean im immune to that, if anything im more sensitive...im 22 weeks and ive gained 15 lbs, which is average in the books, but everyone seems to think im huge..

anyone else having this issue?

Nikketh- this may not help but I had the exact opposite problem, everyone kept telling me how small I looked... which i was still sensitive to because I felt as if they were accusing me of not taking care of the baby.

Anyways i guess my point is that people feel entitled to give you their opinion about everything when your pregnant and you have to learn to ignore it as long as you and your doctor are happy then everyone else can shove it.

I found the best way to deal with it is just to laugh off the comment and change the subject. A friend of mine dealt with comments like this by wearing those wacky "five finger" shoes, she said everyone was too busy staring at her feet to notice her stomach size.

Nikki don't worry about it. People are dumb! I have had so may people ask me if I am having twins... I measure perfectly every single week, so I am exactly the right size. And I am not overweight. I know I look big right now, but it is normal big, lol. People just forget too... Like when they were PG I am sure they did not appreciate the comments, but now that they aren't they feel like the comment are appropriate and it is within societal norms to be rude lol. Just ignore them. Or say something ride back. Like, "yeah I am pretty big I guess... but I AM pregnant. Why are you so big?"

And thank you, btw. She is free to come out anytime now, but now appears comfy in there.

thanks ladies, i learned with DD that EVERYONE has something to say and feels their way is best, which is annoying but i can easily ignore it..

i did gain 80 lbs with DD, and i didnt loose it all...plus my mom has had weight issues ever since she had my brother, and im having a boy, so its something im already self conscious and a bit worried about...

so having these ppl make comments about me getting fat (yes theres one guy who loves to say this), or all the stupid twin comments when they know friggin well im not having twins...its just hard to let it roll :S ill try tho

everyone says i look small for 7 months, but it is my first and they say you don't show as much with the first. I have gained 17 lbs total at 30 weeks.

Went today for 3/4d ultrasound! it was pretty neat, caught baby yawning at one point. tech said she is pretty big and chubby, and guess she would be about 8lbs.
she is stubborn and wouldn't move too much but we got some pics of her face. She apparently loves her umilical cord.

ever cute simgirl,..you usually gain 1 lb a week at the end so youll have no problem loosing the baby weight, sounds like ull be one of the lucky ones who looses it all pretty much after delivering so thatll be nice
