So a while ago I asked for help deciding on wedding day jewelry to go with the dress I *thought* was the one. Fast forward a few months to when I was able to go home to TX and actually try on dresses with my mom and I realized that the style I thought I liked wasn't flattering on me. Instead, I fell in love with strapless, which I thought was totally overdone and that I would hate. Like rings, it seems you need to try your ideas on - what seems perfect in your head might not be perfect IRL!

Sorry the pictures aren't very good. Mom just got an iphone and isn't the best at taking photos with it. What's important to know is that it's a very classic style dress, very fitted through the waist/bust with a slight a-line skirt, light gold, with an ivory lace overlay and a fabulous train.






And here's a link to the catalogue pics of the dress. Note that I am getting the gold underlay as in the sample I tried on, so the lace is much more noticeable and the dress has a warmer tone.

What would you pair with this dress? I'm thinking a simple chignon and a plain tulle veil for my hair. For jewelry I want fabulous earrings, but I don't know beyond that. Necklace? Bracelet? Headpiece?

I was thinking with really over the top earrings you would want a nice sparklie cuff/bracelet that would cover some wrist...

I love the lacy antique feel to it! It's a lot like what I'll be looking for in a dress in a few months.

Roogirl, you rock. I especially love the third option for earings, the pear/oval halo. I don't know how I missed them when I browsed through Berricle's site! I think I need to watch and see if I can get a killer Berricle coupon for them, though.

I'm usually not one to wear both earrings and necklace, so a bracelet might be the best choice. I don't know though, with the strapless a small pendant might look great!

My 2 cents is that i'd go simple earrings and a statement necklace. Or statement earrings, no necklace and a nice cuff.

Oooh, I do like those earrings! I just wish they had a picture of them on a model's ear so that I had a better idea of scale. Perhaps I'll need to order a couple of pairs and pick my favorite!

Your welcome labelo... ... Your dress is gorgeous.... if you do decide to go with a necklace a bigger pendant would work just because of how feminine your dress is and all the detail of it... the bigger earring and bracelet would be amazing...
