Ive been looking at growth estimates and she seems to be in the normal range so i'm not sure the tech was right.

Yeah, I was thinking 8lbs by 40 weeks as well!

A little tip, take it or leave it, if she grows past the 8lbs, please tell your doctor ro check further... I didn't know, but it seems they can measure your pelvic bones or around there via ultrasound and can get an idea if you are too narrow. I tried squeezing out a 9lb 4 oz baby, and turns out I was narrow... She would never have made it through the birth canal and ended up being a C-section, after 18 hours in labor. My doctor was an idiot though and even though he induced me, ended up driving to another hospital to deliver another baby when I was 9cm dilated. Stupid nurses got me to 10 and made me push.

15 years later, we a still dealing with the consequence. So please, just have your doctor check you a little further.

I used to get that same comment all of the time about having twins. One of the Doctors at the office told me I was measuring Mammoth - um thank you? What do you say to that lol

Sim, I think 8 lbs is a totally normal size. Our body generally can handle the baby we grow, as long as things like GD are controlled etc. I wouldn't worry. I know here anyway, they don't even like to tell you what the ultrasound says for baby's weight, because they are pretty hard to get an accurate reading on. And babies have growth spurts etc, so a measurement that seem on the larger side on week could be totally balanced the next visit.

I was measuring exactly week by week, 30 cm for 30 weeks etc. Then all of a sudden I measured 34 cm at 31 weeks. It scared the crap out of me and it was all around the same time as my preterm labour. So I had to have multiple ultrasounds as well, all showing the baby with a big tummy- could indicated GD. So everyone kept asking me about my GD tests, which were fine... But I became totally paranoid ad completely stressed out that I had got GD but after the testing, and now my baby was going to be sick. Fast forward a few weeks, at my next appointment, baby measured perfect and apparently just had a massive growth spurt. SOOOOOO not worth all the stress. It happened again in the last 2 weeks too. I measured 1cm big at 37 weeks, but was fine again at my 38 week check.

it is 3:40 in the morning and I have been having contractions 2-4 minutes apart since 1am... They are still irregular but constant enough and strong enough to stop me from being able to sleep...which I find super annoying because if this is real labour, then I need to be sleeping. My intuition tells me no, but I can't seem to get them to stops. I have moved all around, tried different positions, and tried a bath... If I am not around tomorrow, you know why.
