I stumbled across an article today titled "Etsy Weddings: Handmade Item of the Week" and saw this on the list. I thought it was a really cute idea, but would you ever spend $3500 bucks on 100 wedding invites?! Even if you were rich? Me...no, probably not.

meh. its an ok idea but definitely not $3500 worth.

i think we spent about $35 on ours, including postage to have them shipped to us and stamps to mail them back out again.

$3500 is more than a third of what our total wedding/honeymoon budget was - including spending money!

I think it is cute and I guess it depends on how 'rich' I was as to whether or not I would do it. Rich means different things to different people.
I can see having one made as part of a wedding proposal...I think I like that better than invitations and you would only need one.

See now, if you were rich enough you could have both.

I like your idea for a proposal though. Or invites to a kid's birthday party...if I were rich. I think I prefer the elegance of normal invites for a wedding. I would just have them all hand written or something, like celebs do, lol.

I bet one could do this yourself somehow or find a cheaper way. I love it though.
