The pawn shop is called Dicker and Deal. I'm from Owosso but my husband has worked in Lansing for years. They actually had some really good deals and several antique diamonds so I could get a feel for them. My husband said Hamptons Jewelers does custom work rings. They are in Lansing. Are you familiar with them? I just don't want to spend quite that much probably. If I were to do that I have a pic of a ring that I LOVE! It's different from the one at Kays that I love and I couldn't wear another band with it but I love it. I'll try to add a picture of that one we considered having Hamptons do.

Oh okay, yep, I definitely know Hampton's. They have a number of billboards in the area. It seems like you have a vision of what you want, but the Kays ring seems affordable to you, and pretty "enough". I think you should at least get some quotes around here (like Wink, David Klass, Schubachs) to see if they can create something for you that is absolutely perfect. You might be surprised to find that it makes sense finacially as well.

I'm gonna have to try Dicker & Deal though. Where exactly is it located?

This is a pic of the ring I would like to have Hampton's custom make. We may check but I know it will most likely be too costly. And I LOVE it but I really kind of do want to wear a matching band.

Dicker and Deal is located on Cedar St. in Lansing. I wouldn't go there without my husband though...lol.

Here is another ring mounting that I love but can't find locally. If this had larger diamonds on the halo surround it would have all the elements I want. And a matching wedding band would fit flush. Has anyone seen this ring or know where to order it? This or the one I posted above are ones I'd most likely have to have custom done..

The first pics you posted are WAY too small. I can't see any details. The second set has a Verragio element to it, but I am not certain it is.

I found this setting from an Ebay seller called lord_of_gem_rings and he has 99.3% feedback. Has anyone dealt with this seller? I am leerie of buying from overseas and making such a large purchase off Ebay? But doesn't Paypal have some protection? I can also get a matching band. I'm tempted because this is really what I want. And I'd probably have the diamonds on the surround made a little larger and have them make it to accomodate a 1.25 or 1.5 carat moissanite. From the previous poster it sounds like MoissaniteCo would set the moissanite for me if I shipped them the mounting....

I think quite a few of us have ordered from LOGR. I have purchased a band from LOGR. I upgraded the stones to H VS and upgraded to platinum. They were easy to work with and fairly quick to ship.

I had heard their regular stones weren't that great, so that's why I upgraded to VS stones, but I think essaince ordered a band from them with no upgrade and said the stones were sparkly.

That makes me feel much better about ordering from them. It's good to know they are easy to work with. Do you think with this mounting I'd have to worry about losing stones? And do you think slightly larger stones around the halo surround would be hard for them to do? I think this ring was based off a Verragio design too. Does anyone think it would be pretty in yellow gold but with a white gold halo surround? I HATE how white gold has to be rhodium dipped.
