Which center stone looks best in your opinion for this setting?? With either stone, I want a large open culet because it will have to be ordered to fit my setting. I am having trouble deciding which I prefer. Both would be WinkCzs.

I think the step cut of the asscher works better with the side stones

Ginger, can you switch the direction either your photos or your poll? Right now photo 1 corresponds with poll option 2, and vice versa. I checked the second button to correspond with the second photo, but then caught myself and realized that I was moving visually instead of reading.

I did manage to submit the vote I wanted -- Asscher. I love step cuts with step cuts. Clean, uncomplicated, and classy.

I am stuck because I really love the Cartier Cushion but think maybe the asscher might look better with the setting. Plus, I have been wanting an asscher with an open culet. Jcent was saying that CZ step cuts can look glassy though so that worries me. However, I will be baking the whole ring when I get it back.

I voted for the Asscher. I think the step cut goes much better with the side baguettes. But just like you, I would be a bit worried about the glassy look in the CZ. I noticed it even in the Asha step cuts.

I vote asscher, especially if you have been wanting one. I think this is the perfect setting for an asscher stone. When I saw your hand shots yesterday my first thought was, "hmm, I'm having trouble visualizing an acc in that setting, but an asscher would look fantastic!"
