I'm a cushion lover, however with the side stones I've voted for the Asscher.

In the interest of fairness, since you said you fear the glassy look..... I had an Asscher Asha that I waited years for, so I wanted to love it in the worst way. At first I did, but the longer I wore it, the more the glassy phenomenon bothered me. And dear heavens what it took to keep it clean - ugh.
All of this after I voted for Asscher. I know it doesn't make sense. But since you brought up the reality/risk of glassiness, I want to say that you aren't crazy for thinking ahead about this. But it may turn out to be a non-issue for you, too. Everyone is different.
It looks like this setting would allow you to test drive an Asscher, and then if you don't like it, it would be easy to swap in the cushion. Although Wink CZs and labor aren't cheap prospects, they aren't too steep of an investment, either.

Also I have heard that if you get a color that has a litle more warmth in it, I-J maybe, that the glassiness is lessened and there is more fire and glow. I ordered a few Ashas a while back and felt they had a glassy look, the lovely ladies on the board recommended I go warmer. I have seince seen a pink cz (I think cut by wink-I have a pic posted onthe bistro)It is soooo gorgeous, no glassiness, has so much fire and brillance that it outshines my diamonds. I think the color makes a HUGE difference. I would love to see some I-J colored Ashas!!I bet they absolutely rock! No pun intended

I like the asscher best with the setting, but think the CC will be a more realistic stone. So...no help really, lol.
