Yayyyyy! I just love hearing about proposals and I can totally empathize with you all the way on waiting. It's just a lovely, terrible, crazy game that comes with waiting on the proposal! Yours came before me, I hope mine is coming soon!

PS: you're right, that thing looks HUGE on you (in a great way)! And we have very similar fingers in that I got my ring in a 6.25 but am closer to a 6. I don't like the ring chub. But you have thinner hands than I, so I imagine that wasn't your problem.

Kat- I get all claustrophic if my rings are too tight- (what I think jewelers probably refer to as "fitting:)- I may or may not need some sort of sizing device in the winter, but I want to keep it this size.

Lorrissey- girl you are too funny. I have no idea what band I'll get. I figure I have quite awhile to figure it out (in NO hurry) but of course I'm going to obsess about it with ya'll until we pick something :-)

And Jasmine- I googled EVERY possible photo I could of emerald halos, and wanted to find a pic of the Asha Diamonds Nova (which this is) (the moissanite page gives it a different name, but same parent company)- so I wanted to post as much detail as possible because I know how important it was to me in my search.

I obviously can't say enough how much I love AshaDiamonds/MoissaniteCo- they have been BEYOND accommodating with me- their customer service is excellent and this ring is just beyond what I could've hoped for. It's amazing. And the stone... sigh. It's just perfect.

My closest friends knew that I was getting a sim, but for the most part I just say thank you and go with it. I went to get some watch batteries changed at a nice local jewelry store yesterday- and I had initially gone in there looking at settings- and the same wonderful lady who helped me commented on my ring and how pretty it was. I told her the center stone was an Asha (because I'm proud of what smart consumers we all are) and she leans in and says to me, "And why not? it's breathtaking, no one will ever know and you guys saved yourselves a ton." That made me smile.
