I honestly think either will look amazing, and you should go with whichever one really makes your heart go pitter-patter. If you are secretly hoping for and cheering on one of the stones already, and just hoping we will all pick that one, you may already have your answer, and you should go for it!!

I really do love that setting!! Reminds me of the graduated french cut setting that I dream of. And if you really want another opinion, I will say that even though I am absolutely insane over the CCC from Wink, the Asscher really compliments the step cuts beautifully.

I just don't think you can go wrong on this. How about if Wink puts one of each stones in it and sends you pics before setting it? (Even if it's not the exact size stone you will be custom ordering). Then, we get to all vote again! lol.

I guess I will wait for when I can actually buy the french cut setting to have some kind of antique cushion it. I Think the asscher will be nice with the open culet and I will just bake it a ton once I get the setting back. I would love a nice I/J color.

Okay, I was thinking about it some more last night and even though most of you think an asscher would look best, I still want to get a cartier cushion because the reason I wanted this ring in the first, was to sort of fill in for a french cut ring with the center being an ACC or OEC. So, because of that, I am going to go with my original plan. I think I will like it better in the long run.

I love both! With the asscher, the look is more classic. But the Catier cushion makes it more unique, and just as pretty.

Ginger, I think it looks nice in this picture (which I was unable to visualize in my mind.) I am still a little concerned that the cz baguettes might look too glassy for the Wink CC. Perhaps you might want to bake the ring before you send it to Wink?

ETA: The more times I see the combination the more I am liking the eclectic feel it has.

I prefer that one. It's so different. I love it.
