Good to hear about the melee and baby AG's looking good. I hope we continue to have progression for the production and hear about it. I think what most US people want to know is from the point at which the patent issue is resolve when can we order?

I admit last night I felt we got hit with a bit of a double-whammy with the limited quantity/increased price aspect. I hope that our waiting list can still happen even if we have to limit it at first to one stone/person or something like that. Also, it is seeming a bit like the patent is actually less of an issue than the growing rate at this point anyway. Correct me if I'm wrong, but even if C&C had not submitted a rebuttal it doesn't sound like you guys are close to selling yet.

The price thing...we'll pay it, I know we will, I just really hope it doesn't go over the 600/carat mark. That's not chump-change to me, and especially those that are getting larger stones it adds up quickly.

Thanks for the update, and I know we do all appreciate you keeping us in the loop.

ohhh noooo, the higher price is definitely not what I wanted to hear. hopefully, production will pick-up and the price will stay at or below $500....I'm being optimistic =)

speak for yourself...i don't think people will pay $600+! One of the main reason why I like moissanite is b/c of its PRICE!! Please Less, have a systematic waiting list that's fair so that you don't have to increase the price like this on on.

I know this isn't a gemstone-related comment, but I love your graphic on our energy sources. This is so important for people to be aware of!

Well, we knew the price was not set in stone by any stretch of the imagination, and considering how many millions of dollars that had to be put into making the Amora Gem possible, I do not think the price is anywhere near unreasonable. Companies have to be able to afford to sell their product (as in, they actually have to make enough money off it to pay their own bills).

Jdm95ls, I don't believe the waiting list has anything to do with the price the AG will be sold at. You might like moissy because of it's price, but the Amora Gem is not moissanite, it's completely new. smile Thankfully I doubt we'll see a hike in the price of moissanite from C&C at all, and that will remain an option for those who do not wish to pay for the AG.

^^ Agree the AG is in its own right a more spectacular stone that the Moissy so I would expect a price lift on this. The wait doesn't bother me so much because I know its going to be worth it. I love following the progress and one day have a bit of history on my finger !

Heck yes, we'll pay it. The cost of a real 3 carat, 8 x 10mm oval diamond with good color, cut and clarity will range between 40k and 70k. My husband has priced them. Less than $2000? sold.

I anticipated the limited availability issue. Crystal growth is slow if you're going for increased symmetry/equivalent bond angles, etc.

I will patiently wait a few years until there's an oval available. Just keep the freakin Asha's stocked until then.... please???

You guys rock. I know the initial investment is daunting, but you have a solid product that delivers. It's gonna rock the diamond industry.

Good job, Less!

^^^^exactly! A 10mm, 5ct cushion, colourless and VS, diamond would be well over $200,000. The AG version $3000-$3500... Still not "cheap" but totally worth it to me.
