Does anyone take anything for anxiety or something similar?

I am a tad stress lately and am just not ready for the 'real' stuff yet wink grin

Was wondering if anyone takes anything organic/natural that might help? smile

I've heard a few people say that Rescue Remedy is great. When there was an ugly spell in our house, I gave it a shot for both me and my dog. Unfortunately it didn't make a difference for either of us. But maybe you would be one of those who responds to it? The people who recommended it to me are reliable sources.

Or there's always wine. smile

Exercise is good, a warm bath and a good book, cleaning a neglected closet...maybe I'm weird in that I find that stress relieving, lol.

Also, charity/volunteer work of some sort usually leaves me feeling much better...not only have I done something to help others but I am reminded how fortunate I am and how little I really have to be stressed about.

St Johns Wort may help. And cutting out sugar.

And if you are finding you are anxious before bed, try Valerian.

Well it sure makes sense to me but I went looking for any verification about volunteer work and stress.

jcent clearly doesn't get it. What you do is UP your sugar. A bag of Hershey Kisses can solve all kinds of problems! Hahahahaha smile

suffering from an anxiety disorder and feeling a tad stressed are entirely different, so like you said i don't think you need "real", as in rx medication. i'm not aware of natural supplements for stress but certain activities can help.

yoga, massage, breathing excerises, positive visualizations and affirmations may be helpful. lavender is very calming; bath salts, a sachet for your bedside, or scented lotion before bed helps with a restful sleep. if you have nervous energy at times you can try out stress putty, they are in different levels of firmness, that you can work through with your hands while you are feeling overwhelmed.

St Johns Wort, 1 tablet per day.

Also, if you can try to get a min of 30mins exercise per day.

This is what my doctor told me. I agree with the exercise, it helps so much. I couldn't take the tablets because i was breast feeding BUT they are supposed to be wonderful....

St johns wort

Bach rescue too. You can get it in drop form to put in your drinks or a spray for in your mouth. They also do a cream which aids healing.

We all get stressed from time to time...
