I am posting a question concerning a recently configured pendent of mine-I got an appraisal back on the pendent & I thought the appr on the gold work might be a little on the high side. The item is 14kt white gold, 12 stones in a circle & 5 stones in the center of the circle, 17 stones, 17 baskets. Ive been told by some jewelers a cost of about $250.00/basket might be on par or a price of $4250.00 ballpark figure at todays gold price per/ounce of $1600.00. People in the trade might have more insite to labor/materials & i am just wondering if custom goldwork at todays rates are in order per my appraisal-thanks, steve...A pic of the rear of the pendent is shown, gold weight is 8grms total...
