With most designs, he can still add stones to the metal, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I think something like this first one that Roo posted would flow very nicely with the rest of the ring design. The arcs would be further apart to support the halo and would mimic the curves on the band.

This almost looks like a tulip! One reason I love the ring though is it's low profile. Do you think these options would raise the profile much?

I don't think this will be a high standing ring, but what is high profile to one person, may not be high to another. It's so relative.

I have to say I love the suggestions that were made, it looks alot prettier. A bit of advice that helped me immensely in getting my exact point across to DK was to talk in millimeters about the design. That way there is no room for error or a misinterpretation. Halo, band, shank, and elevation were all jointly discussed in mms and that made sure we were both exactly on the same page.

Also, if you wanted to be able to easily wear a band with this, DK can accomodate that in the design. Just something to think about for the future, as I made the mistake of not thinking ahead in the past with that.

Just thought I would jump in and share these little tidbits! I can't wait to see what you ultimately end up doing!
