Psoriasis is caused by a yeast, and naturopathic medicine connects that yeast to a condition called candidiasis. I have been trying to use this diet to control issues realated to candida overgrowth - and find it to really work (and weight loss is an added benefit!). Here is a website on it - I don't particularly use this website (I have a book) but it's the first one that comes up on google and all the info is pretty much the same http://www.thecandidadiet.com/

technically while there is an underlying inflammatory condition, it isn't necessarily yeast. It can be a number of things.

It was a big thing in naturopathic medicine to blame all ailments on candida. What I tell people to remember is that if you have an overgrowth of candida (which can happen, but much less often than people think!) it's a symptom of a bigger issue. The candida is basically opportunistic and it won't thrive if everything else is in balance. smile

Turks- thanks sooo much my chiropractor was telling me about candida and she has a chinese medicine doctor that works with her and he told me the same thing. He gave me a diet kind of similar to this thanks again. What is the name of the book you are reading?
