Any new word on an ETA date to order perl sims? Also, do you think you'll have enough for the holiday season without having to backorder? They will probably be a big hit. I'm thinking of X-mas and a November birthday. Any thoughts on preorders?

Here's the latest:
We have been talking daily with the factory - we currently have 2000 strands (1,000 of each color) and 1000 pairs of half-drills (for earrings) coming in. So, I think we will have enough to meet the immediate demand unless one of the jewelry chains we are talking to decides to take them all. I will say some other people in the business who have seen our man-made pearls in person also said they didn't think we would have enough given the bang for the buck they offer, but we can turn another set of a 1000 strands in about 3 weeks, so we can restock one more time before the holidays if we have to.

As far as pre-order, we're still trying to finalize the remaining arrangements - we have been talking with two seattle based pearl stringing companies to determine who will do the stringing, and I still have a number of different clasps being evaluated...so I'd prefer not to take pre-orders until we have these items finalized. Additionally, until we have the sim pearls physically here there's always the risk they could be damaged in shipping to us, and then we'd be stuck unable to fill the pre-orders, though we would obviously have insurance on them.

We'll go ahead and start pre-orders once they are physically here and all that is left is for the stringing work to be done. I hope will happen around October 25th or so, meaning I think you can get them at the very beginning of November.
