The setting is from BTD and I didn't change a thing. Personally, I prefer the prongs as the side sparkle shows to great advantage and that's a very cool thing with the Asscher cut.

Yes, people (and especially male people) go ga-ga over it.

It performs beautifully in any lighting, pretty much the same as a diamond, if there isn't much light, there isn't going to be much sparkle...gotta have the input.
I don't have an Asscher diamond to compare/contrast with but a jeweler friend of ours remarked during a social situation that it was the most beautiful Asscher he'd ever seen and got a bit upset that we hadn't gone through him to make such an important purchase. I did explain later and he was very surprised (and much relieved).
