Although I have written at length on this ring on the various forums, it finally dawned on me that I have not written one word here. Some statements will be repeated, but only because they bear repeating.

This ring and it's matching band are magnificent! Being a previous Asha owner, I knew the level of quality to expect and this set still blew me away. The Asscher is a glorious rainbow of sparkles and mirrors in every lighting situation. The Cartier Reproduction set is superbly made with attention to the most minute detail. While having a fairly delicate look, they are substantial rings, finely polished everywhere and of the utmost quality. The side diamonds are a perfect complement to the center Asscher; small enough that they don't detract from the center stone and large enough to sparkle and be noticed. The Cartier Repro. set and 5 ct. Asscher are a tremendous testament to the BTD quality of workmanship. Less, Lisa, Mandy, Duane, Darryl and all involved at BTD, thank you from the bottom of my heart for this gorgeous, magnificent set, and for your outstanding customer support.

Thanks Cyn! OMG... lovely, lovely. How do you get any work done with that on your hand? I am having a hard enough time with my modest little 2 carat cathedral set Flanders... ;-) I am an Asha girl... I think I would really like to have a 3 stone ring with a big Assher in the center and two emerald cuts on either side... what do you think?

its gorgeous! Did you get it from BTD? Do you change anything about the setting? I think I want to get a basket setting instead of the v-shaped profile...do you think it makes a difference? How does it look in sunlight? In a room? Does everyone go ga-ga? Most importantly, how does it look compared to your real diamonds? Thanks so much!!

The setting is from BTD and I didn't change a thing. Personally, I prefer the prongs as the side sparkle shows to great advantage and that's a very cool thing with the Asscher cut.

Yes, people (and especially male people) go ga-ga over it. It performs beautifully in any lighting, pretty much the same as a diamond, if there isn't much light, there isn't going to be much sparkle...gotta have the input.
I don't have an Asscher diamond to compare/contrast with but a jeweler friend of ours remarked during a social situation that it was the most beautiful Asscher he'd ever seen and got a bit upset that we hadn't gone through him to make such an important purchase. I did explain later and he was very surprised (and much relieved).
