If you're looking for a warmer color in diamonds, go with moissanite. If you want a more colorless or steely look, go with an Asha. Moissies look very steely and diamond like in sunlight BUT in overcast weather show a slight yellow tint, which is fine if you like that warm color (I know I do!). I prefer both and mix diamonds, Ashas and moissies. A few people loved my princess curved moissie band ring. They were so surprised when I told them it wasn't diamonds. $\:\)$ Okay, I'm absolutely no help because I love all things sparklie. But again, it's mostly a matter of taste. I have several mixed pieces and you cannot tell the difference, especially if your diamonds are in the G-H-I range in color. Moissanite can take the jewelers torch during repairs and sizing. CZs, including Asha, cannot. The double-refraction is on the crown ONLY. The ladies on this board have more of a well-trained eye than the general public so they can spot it more easily. However, even my CGA jeweler from across the counter didn't know my 2ct moiss was not a diamond. I would love to own an Asha one day so I could compare them with my own eye. But, to date, I have diamonds and moissanite only and do love them both. As we all recommend here, buy a loose stone of each to compare and you will know which one tags at your heart strings (MikeC of MoissaniteCo. sells both loose). I worry with Asha because it sounds like I'd have to be careful with it more than Mois. Not that isn't do-able (if that's a word) just would have to watch what I do with it on. I have been speaking with Chris from Moiss.... but how do I get in touch with Mike C if he sells both. If I like the Asha better, I'd like for them to set it in my ring, not an unexperienced jewler. Miss Diamonds, you don't happen to have a picture of your asha and moiss side by side do you?? If so, would you post it!??!!?? Thanks again everyone!!!
